- Xianggong Mountain - Perched atop the mountain, one is encircled by verdant peaks, reminiscent of a spire rising from a bamboo grove after a refreshing rain. From this vantage point, one can take in the panoramic views of Xingping Pier, Da he bei village, the ancient Walled Hill, Chaoben hill, and the yellow cloth reflection area, among other breathtaking sights. The sunlight casts a mix of luminous and shadowy reflections on the mountains, creating a stark contrast and a sense of depth. The clouds, fluffy like cotton, spread across the mountain tops, forming what appears to be an immaculate blanket of clouds. Gazing down, the Li River stretches out wide and green, its tranquil waters acting as a mirror, capturing the silhouettes of the mountains as they embrace the river’s surface.
Itinerary:
09:30–10:30: Collection from Yangshuo hotel/Yulong river park gate/Guilin hotel, followed by a transfer to Damian hill.
10:30–11:10: Ascend the hill.
11:10–12:00: Revel in the vistas from Damian hill.
12:00–13:00: Descent from the hill.
13:00–14:00: Return to West street for a meal.
15:00: Journey back to Yangshuo/Guilin hotel.

Damian Mountain, also referred to as Goupo mountain, is situated in the area of Yangshuo Xingping, across from the Huang Ni Tian region and adjacent to Snail Hill. The Li River flows from the west to the east, sketching a large ‘bow’ around Xing Ping, enveloping the mountain in a mesmerizing scene that is deemed to be the finest on the Li River - hence the moniker ‘the first bay of the Lijiang River.’ Damian Mountain is an excellent vantage point for appreciating the Lijiang River landscape. It occupies the middle portion of the ‘Gong’ character and is esteemed as the prime spot for watching sunrise over the Li River.
Please note: Prior to booking this tour, it’s advisable to check the weather forecast as rain can make the ascent to the summit quite treacherous.
