Guilin - Upon arrival, a local driver will greet you with a welcome sign displaying your name and transfer you to your hotel in Yangshuo (Driver only, no guide). The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Yangshuo Yulong Bamboo Boat, Xianggong Hill, West Street & Liusanjie Show. Stay in Yangshuo.

Yangshuo County - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Yangshuo hotel and take you to the Yulong River for a bamboo boat ride.

Yulong River - The Yulong River is a 30-minute drive from Yangshuo. The bamboo boat ride lasts 60 minutes, with two people per boat. Known as ‘the Little Li River,’ the Yulong River is a tributary of the Li River, starting in Northern Yangshuo County. With its dramatic karst landscape, serene waters, and ancient bridges, it is an ideal spot for bamboo rafting.

Xianggong Mountain - Following the bamboo boat ride, you will be driven 40 minutes to Xianggong Hill. This is the most picturesque mountain along the Li River. A 15-minute walk (400 steps) to the top offers a panoramic view of the entire Li River.

West Street - Next, travel by private car to West Street, where you can enjoy lunch and explore downtown Yangshuo. West Street is renowned for its hundreds of shops offering a wide variety of local crafts, antiques, and souvenirs, making it a shopper’s paradise. Alternatively, you can wander through the alleyways or along the river, observing the local life.

Impression Sanjie Liu - At 6:30 pm, your guide will meet you in the West Street area to attend the show. The light show lasts 70 minutes (7:30 pm - 8:40 pm), and you will return to the Guilin hotel around 10:30 pm (9:00 pm - 10:30 pm). Here is some information about the show: The Impression Liu Sanjie show is a highlight of Yangshuo. It is a unique night performance set in a virtual scenery theater. Unlike other shows, it uses the Li River as the stage and 12 hills as the backdrop, creating the world’s largest virtual scenery theater. As an outdoor theater, the show integrates with the natural surroundings, offering a different experience each season and day, depending on the weather.

Yangshuo Silver Cave, Fuli Old Town & Xingping Old Town. Stay in Yangshuo.

Yangshuo County - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Yangshuo hotel and take you to the Silver Cave.

Silver Cave - The cave is a 40-minute drive from Yangshuo, and English headsets are available for the tour. Located in Maling Town of Lipu County, about 85 kilometers (53 miles) south of Guilin’s city center and 18 kilometers (11 miles) from Yangshuo, the Silver Cave is the largest karst cave in Guilin. It showcases the charm of the typical karst landscape in southern China. The cave’s numerous crystal stalactites, resembling stars in a falling Milky Way, glitter like silver and diamonds under colorful lights, giving the cave its name. The saying goes: “One will never be down and out as long as one reaches the Silver Cave.” Its majestic, otherworldly features make it a standout example of karst landscapes worldwide.

Moon Hill - South of the Big Banyan Tree in Gaotian Town, about 8 km (5 miles) from Yangshuo County, lies the natural wonder Moon Hill. The hilltop features a round hole resembling a bright moon, hence the name Moon Hill. Originally a limestone cave, it is one of the karst formations in the area. It is the final stop along the picturesque ‘Ten-Mile Gallery,’ a prime tourism section in Yangshuo County. In 1972, former U.S. President Richard Nixon and his wife climbed the hill. Today, Moon Hill is popular for hiking and rock climbing.

Xingping Town - In Xingping Town, you can enjoy lunch, visit the old street, and see the 20 RMB viewpoint. You can also take a small boat tour of the Li River, paying locally in cash. Historically, Xingping Town was the largest town along the Li River, located 63 km (39 miles) from Guilin and 25 km (15.5 miles) from Yangshuo, on the river’s east bank. The town is surrounded by captivating scenery, with Mural Hill and Yellow Cloth Shoal as part of this scenic area.

Fuli Ancient Town - Next, visit Fuli Town, where you can explore old streets, paintings, fans, and water buffalo. Located about eight kilometers east of Yangshuo County, Fuli is a quiet old town with an 800-year history, known as the artistic town of the area for its colorful fans and scroll paintings. Along the cobbled alleyways, you’ll find small factories making painted paper fans. Watch the intricate fans being crafted and hand-painted in this tranquil old town on the Li River’s banks. Fuli has two sides: the rapidly developing new town along the main road and the old town center on the riverbank, where nearly all the old houses remain, offering a glimpse into the simple lives of the locals.

Yangshuo County - At 9:00 am, your driver/guide will meet you at your Yangshuo hotel and transfer you to Guilin city center, a 1.5-hour drive.

Daxu Old Town - The first stop is Daxu Old Town, where you will spend one hour. Located on the banks of the Lijiang River, 28 kilometers from the city, Daxu is known for its well-preserved ancient buildings, worn bluestone streets, and traditional culture. Once a major market during the Ming Dynasty, it remains vibrant today. Visitors can browse stalls selling a variety of traditional handicrafts.

Guilin Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Resort - Next, visit Yao Mountain, where you can take a chairlift up and toboggan down, spending one hour there. Yaoshan is the highest mountain in Guilin City, offering views of the karst landscape. After visiting the mountain, head to the Yao Mountain Tea Plantation, about 3.5 km from the entrance. Operated by Guangxi’s most authoritative tea research base, the plantation offers a unique experience of tea leaf picking, manufacturing, and tasting. During this 1-1.5 hour exploration of Chinese tea culture, staff will demonstrate professional tea picking and tasting skills and show the detailed tea-making process. A special tea performance is also included.

Warm tip: From November to March, it is not the right season for tea leaves to grow, so you cannot pick leaves at the plantation during this time. However, you can enjoy the tea performance and tasting year-round.

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - Afterwards, visit Elephant Trunk Hill, a central attraction and landmark of Guilin City. The beautiful natural views combined with cultural landscapes make it a captivating place that enchants tourists.

Sun and Moon Pagodas - Enjoy lunch at Zhengyang Walking Street and stroll around the Sun and Moon Pagodas and lakes area. Afterward, return to your Yangshuo hotel or be dropped off at a hotel in Guilin or the Guilin train station/airport.
