A very interesting and different day trip to a nature reserve and cacao farm - Really appreciated that we were able to book the evening before, and that we were met and picked up promptly at the times given. The local guide (Carlos) was (despite not speaking English) really good and his genuine enthusiasm and love for the place enhanced the experience (both looking at birds on the canoe trip and for howler monkeys on the walk around the nature reserve). The visit to the cacoa farm was also surprisingly excellent - we all enjoyed the meal and were then fascinated by the detailed and expert explanation/demonstration of how to make chocolate. PS Don't be put off by stories about the mosquitoes - yes, there were a lot near the water, but good insect repellent stops any bites.
