A mágico amanecer in Tikal! - Superb & memorable visit this morning of Tikal Park with Santiago de Tikalviptours & Maya expedition whose passion and enthusiasm for French and Guatemalan cultures are contagious!
I really recommend to make the visit alongside him - favoring the raising of the solei on a weekday - it is an enchantment in an otherwise magical place.

this is the tour you want! - We had a fantastic morning with Elmer. We booked a sunrise tour, and Elmer communicated with us early and often to ensure we had a meeting time, all the appropriate gear, and our necessary park tickets.
During the tour, Elmer made us feel safe and comfortable, being sure to point out tripping hazards and any animals to be aware of when we walking or taking a seat.
Most importantly, his passion and excitement for both Mayan history/culture and the animals and plants of the rainforest made for a fantastic experience. As a private tour, we got to go at our own pace, ask a million questions, and take routes/see areas less frequented by tourists.
His knowledge was incredible! Whether you want to know about local birds, medicinal
plants, or Mayan sports - this is your guy!

Amazing and unforgettable experience! - Amazing experience! Tikal VIP was efficient with communication and prepared us with a list of what to bring to the ruins. We were picked up from our hotel around 3:30am in a van with AC and a cooler full of water bottles. The driver was super nice and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Tikal national park. The hike up to the ruins was so surreal and the overlook was breathtaking. Even though it was cloudy in May we were able to see the ruins and we brought binoculars for birdwatching.
It was just my boyfriend and I on the tour so the guide tailored it to what we liked! He showed us a cool app that listens to the birds chirping and tells you exactly what type of birds are around you. We did get to see the sun peek out eventually and enjoyed the magic of the ruins in the morning. The timing of the tour is perfect because it was fresh in the morning and got so hot outside around 11ish when our tour was ending.
The breakfast was onsite and just a short walk away from the ruins. It was so perfect after a long hike with plenty of options and delicious fresh juice. Definitely worth waking up so early for this experience!!!

Tikal Sunrise tour - Our Guide Elmer met us at our hotel equipped with torch and bottled water - he walked with us at our pace pointing out interesting plants and wildlife with knowledge and passion. He talked us through the Mayan history and the impact the civilisation has had on the modern world.
Unfortunately a misty morning meant we did not see the actual sunrise, however Elmer knew it was just a matter of time until we could witness the sun and took us to climb a different temple to see the magnificence of the jungle with all it’s flora and fauna.
I highly recommend this tour and especially Elmer who brought it to life.

Best tour ever! - This was the most amazing tour! Our tour guide, Elmer, was so knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. He made our experience the best ever! I highly recommend this tour as it was very well planned, extremely professional and we didn’t have to worry about a thing except enjoying the amazing experience of Tikal.

Our guide was truly... - Our guide was truly outstanding! His knowledge was vast and could answer any question we had. It was obvious that he had a passion for Tikal and the Mayan culture. Also, I highly recommend the sunrise tour as it was perfect for seeing almost all of Tikal, while also avoiding the heat and the crowds.

Incredible! - There is no doubt that he is the best guide to explore Tikal and everything that Petén has to offer. He has complete control of archaeological issues and the biodiversity of the area. We completely recommend their tours, and their treatment is excellent!!! 100/10

Absolute Highlight of our Guatemala Trip - We had an excellent experience on the Tikal Sunrise Tour with Tikal VIP Tours. The communication before the trip was informative and easy, with quick response times. We were picked up from and dropped back to our accomodation in Flores and the vehicle was spacious and immaculate. Our guide Luis was incredible - vast knowledge of the site and area, and a captivating story-telling style and humor which really added to the experience and sense of wonder. Highly recommend this company and in particular, the sunrise tour - hearing the dawn chorus of birds and howler monkeys is out of this world! You'll also beat the crowds and the heat - its very humbling to have that space to feel small amongst the jungle and architecture. A very special site <3

Must Do: Tikal Sunrise Tour! - The sunrise tour was perfect! I highly recommend it if you want to experience Tikal and the jungle coming to life in the morning. Mario was wonderful. Our children loved it and said it was well worth the 3:15 walk-up! The entire tour from start to finish was well organized, the breakfast was delicious, and it was a magical experience.
