Tikal Go- awersome private tour of Tikal from Belize City. - We decided to use Tikal Go for a private tour of Tikal based on reviews. We were staying in Bullet Tree Falls near San Ignacio and wanted a day trip to Tikal, Guatemala with transportation. Communication and responses when planning our time and answering our questions was prompt. We chose to leave at 7 AM from our hotel with our driver, Abner, it took about 30 minutes to drive to the Guatemalan border where we were guided through the immigration area at the border, and then our guide, Omar Ayala, met us on the Guatemalan side of immigration. It's a 2 hour drive, over sometimes bumpy roads, to Tikal. Our tickets had been purchased prior to arriving at Tikal by Tikal Go and this helped to avoid a line of cars waiting to purchase tickets upon arrival there. Omar was a very informed, friendly guide. He knew Tikal very well, took us on trails where there weren't large groups of people, and described all of the temples to us while there. We had discussions about Mayan culture and he was willing to answer our questions. We love private tours and this was perfect. We were back at our hotel by 5 pm. I'd highly recommend Tikal Go!

Fantastic tour! - Highly recommend this tour with Tikal Go! Our drivers and guide (Omar) were all professional and incredibly knowledgeable! They accommodated my celiac disease perfectly at the restaurant and the food was SO good. We saw spider and howler monkeys, coatimundi, tons of butterflies. And the temples were incredible. We opted for taking a car partway instead of hiking and were thankful for that option. Also, if you can go during the slow/rainy season, there were no crowds and it was just my partner and I in our tour group!

Best Tikal tour available from Belize - Amazing tour. Professional, safe, efficient. The whole team was 5 stars. Pickup in Belize by Jonathan was smooth. 20 minute bus ride to the border and through customs to Omar. No problems and very easy. The vans are like 7 seaters, with comfortable lay-back chairs, and have good A/C. The first stop in Guatemala is to get breakfast, coffee/tea, and souvenirs. This also allows the guides to pre-purchase your park entry tickets so you can bypass the long lines when entering the park gates. Really delicious mushroom and potato empanadas from the lady out front. The whole time, Omar is giving you the deep history and cultural knowledge of Guatemala and also of Tikal. We saw tons of wildlife on the road into the park so keep an eye out. The park was amazing obviously, be mindful that there are some crazy stairs, but Omar will not push you and can take it slow. Bring cash for the park though. You will need it to buy snacks, drinks, water. The lunch inside the park is great too. Omar will take your order earlier in the day so everything is arranged before you sit down. All around it was a perfect tour and highly recommend.

Easy experience visiting Tikal - Recommended by a friend - we actually drove our car to the Belize-Guatemala border, parked on Belize side, went through to Guatemala and Tikal Go met us and took us to Tikal. The bus was new and big with good AC. Christian our guide was super knowledgeable. The drive was 1.5-2 hrs. We stopped at a touristy spot to get tickets and use the bathroom - the best part of the stop is seeing the replica of the Tikal site, which helps out things in perspective when you’re walking around Tikal itself (harder to get the scale because the jungle has overgrown a lot of it). We walked around for a few hours and got to climb a lot of the structures. We also saw howler monkeys and other animals, which was cool. It was unbelievably humid and hot, so we struggled with that. The lunch (included) on site at the end was very welcome to sit down and cool off, and it was also amazing. We all fell asleep in the car on the way back. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend - I recently visited Tikal, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, making the history come alive. The site itself is stunning and well worth the visit. Our driver was excellent, and the van was comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed a delicious meal. Highly recommend this tour!

Great experience from start to finish - Very professional communication prior to tour. Went for the private overnight tour to Tikal as needed to set up a customised itinerary as we had three kids and needed to ensure the pace was right for them. Was able to develop an itinerary with sunset tour for whole family and some of the adults/ teens to go for sunrise.(and leave the rest in bed). Also was able to incorporate seamless transfer from Hopkins through the border.Omar are guide in Tikal was superb. Very knowledgeable and was really good with the kids. He showed great flexibility in itinerary depending on their needs. Will always have some special memories of the spectacular sunrise and sunset we got to witness and standing in the main plaza looking at the stars.

Tikal Go took great care of us - Christian was a very good guide when my wife and I toured Tikal. It is an amazing place to learn about the Mayan culture and Christian's knowledge about the site, the history as well as the plants and animals made it a never to forget experience. The lunch experience on-site was a bonus.

Tikal Go Day Trip was Excellent! - Tikal Go : Alex and his crew Louis and Omar, were awesome! Private tour to Tikal was just what we were looking for. Picked us up right from our property. Local guides that took pride in their country and full of information. Our Belize driver, Louis, was cheerful and informative. He helped navigate the border crossing processes with ease! Omar, our tour guide on the Guatemala side was standing ready to meet us. He began sharing about his country as soon as we were seated in the van. He answered every question we handed him. We spoke of everything from culture(old & new), flora, and fauna! Tikal ruins were amazing. We ended the tour with a wonderful lunch! Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to get your steps in. I highly recommend Tikal Go and visit Tikal.

Reckless tour driver with Go Tikal. Maybe don’t go with this tour operator. - Our tour driver in Guatemala was reckless and nearly crashed into the car in front of us. The guide was knowledgeable, but unfortunately his accent made it hard to understand about half of what he said. He have a ton of information, facts & figures, that was hard to absorb. Disappointing.
