Excellent experience with a large company - The plan went perfectly. We had transfers from the hotel to the airport, before sending us tickets, contact from previous days with the people who were going to be our guides. The guide in tikal used a lot of patience given that we were with a baby and the food inside tikal was excellent. The feedback I have is positive, everyone.

Good for customized personal experience - My wife and I wanted a private tour so we could go at our own pace because we had a baby with us. Tikal Go had set us up with Donald who was a master of knowledge when it came to history, architecture, flora, fauna, and geography. He was able to deliver information and education in bite-size doses so as to not overwhelm us. He also set the pace so we could visit less popular but more magical sections of the park. It was obvious that he knew the area well, because he had a good cadence between hiking and breaks. He also knew which areas to let us explore independently and which areas we needed someone with a trained eye to point things out. My wife and I both feel like if we got someone else as a guide we would have gotten a completely different experience. If you are flexible with time, I implore you to tell Tikal Go that you are willing to wait for Donald to be available. Aside from the guide, the tour company is great, and had set up transfers to and from our b&b as well as meals on-site.

Wonderful personalized tour of Tikal! - Great tour! Our guide was not only knowledgable about the history and culture of the Mayans-- He also knew alot about the native animals. As a birder, I was thrilled when he helped spot and identify birds!! So great!! We had plenty of time to climb the temples and enjoy the views! -- and taking care of lunch for us was another bonus. It was a great trip!!

Just amazing! - One of the most amazing experiences we've ever had! Tikal is a must stop for anyone going to Guatemala and knowing the history behind the ruins is essential to have the complete experience. Our guide, Nathaniel, knew every little detail of the story and made the whole tour wonderful. Clearly someone who loves what he does and deserves all possible recognition!

Excellent service and an outstanding experience! - From the start, customer service was fantastic! We booked the day before (in a bit of a panic), and got prompt, personal replies to our questions. The guide and driver were friendly and accommodating (even working in a stop for breakfast)! Omar, the guide, was very knowledgeable and chose paths through the park that helped deliver a private experience in spite of the other tourists. We learned so much and took lots of photos! Having the private car helped to make this easy from the airport in Flores and we enjoyed the personal attention. My only caveat is I wish they had provided/brought bottled water to make things a little easier (especially if you've just gotten off a plane).

Fantastic tour with Melvin - Fantastic tour, comprehensive visiting of all the most important monuments, walks through the jungle, sightings of tucanoes, coatis, Pizotes, peacocks, foxes, monkeys, oropendulas and even a jaguar (they are shy), ask for Melvin as a guide he is truly a dedicated knowledgeable very nice guide who provides historical information as you walk around. This was the best of the trip to Guatemala!

A 9/10 experience - Everything was very good. From the initial contact prior to the trip, we had the relevant information to carry out our tour, as well as transfer transport between our hotel and the airport in Guatemala City. When we arrived at flowers we were very well received by Melvin! Extraordinary and very professional guide throughout the tour. He was our driver, guide, photographer and accomplice to make the most of the day. It really is a guide they should request when ordering the service. Upon arriving at flowers, TikalGo office were well received and have a good waiting room. What did we not like? 1. That if it was an exclusive tour we were returned to the flower airport with more people and not only with people who paid for the tour, but also with townspeople. We never understood why it was generated like this. And 2nd, those of us who paid for the tour with TikalGo, on the same plan, were on different airlines, and some of them left earlier. In this regard we would have liked to have returned to Guatemala much earlier. Just that. Upon return, impeccable transportation back to our accommodation.

Incredible experience, but to improve should only respect the language chosen for the tour - Tour very well organized. Amazing experience. Enough time to climb the temples, which are allowed. Great explanation of the guide and good lunch at the end. Well, the only complaint was that the guide spoke all the time in English. As far as I understand, I bought a tour where I chose Spanish. Only after many hours of his speaking English, he asked if everyone understood. The agency needs to guide the guides that if there was an option to buy the tour in Spanish, the tour must be done in the languages that were purchased. This is already common in Europe when buying a tour. The guide does not ask and already makes the explanations in 3 or 4 languages, respecting the choice of the tourist at the time of purchase. In Guatemala, as much as it is said that the tour is in English and Spanish, the guides start the tour only in English, without respect that purchased in Spanish. It is only after a long time that they ask if they understand. They need to improve this to further evolve in tourism.
