1:00 p.m. – We meet and pick you up at your hotel.
2:15 p.m. – Arrival at Tikal National Park, where we begin our walk through the park, visiting the most impressive sites.

8:00 p.m. – Arrival back in Flores, where we drop you off at the airport or your hotel.

There are no ATMs in Tikal, so please withdraw enough cash in Flores.
If arriving at the airport, we will have a sign with your name after you come through baggage claim and exit the airport.

Recommended - Excellent experience the early morning tour to Tikal with Elmer our Guide with much knowledge of Mayan culture and its ecosystem. Besides that in July it is more advisable to go in the early morning, since you avoid the extreme heat of noon.. recommended

Tikal and other Mayan Sites in Peten Guatemala - I had the pleasure of having Elmer owner of Tikal VIP tours as my guide
I can highly recommend him as very knowlegeable both on the architectual/historic aspect of the tour as well as in finding and describing the abundant wildlife around the site
In addition I was impressed that he truely cares about his customers

Best adventure ever! - This is the best man for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to see and experience this beautiful and wild land.
Totally trusted his experience and knowledge of this magnificent land, I only wished I could do another day with him.
It’s an experience that I will never forget and go’s on the list of the best of the best!
If going to Tikal he’s your man, and such a good person.

We hit the Jackpot! - Do not miss this tour! We hit the jackpot with this adventure to Tikal. Not only did we have an incredible tour of the ancient Mayan ruins, but we also got lucky and saw so much wildlife as the heat died down in the afternoon. Our guide Elmer spoke excellent English, was personable and catered to everything that we wanted to do. We had our own private driver, cold water, towels and an awesome local lunch. Book this to hit the Jackpot.

Excellent, informative, fun and memorable - Elmer was an excellent tour guide from beginning to end. We did the private sunset tour - it was slightly more expensive than a similar group tour but included entry which helps you to skip the queue making it almost the same price.
Elmer has so much knowledge to impart and really tailors the experience to your interests. He was very patient while we took thousands of pictures of birds and told us everything he knew about the local wildlife as well as the Tikal site. We learnt about the Mayan people throughout the ages up to today. He also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and tours to do in other areas of Guatemala. His English was perfect and he was an all round lovely person. I would highly recommend this tour!

Very nice experience! - The guide was very kind and enthousiastic. He got us to a place other tourists usually do not go (and we were indeed alone). He was very interesting: told the story with passion and was able to tell us way more than just the regular guide info when we asked questions.

Elmo is truly a hero! - Arrived in Florida shortly after New Year with a friend who had always wanted to see Chico, so I contacted Elmer (based on the recommendation of others). Unfortunately, he was booked up with private tours days, however he went above and beyond, rang around, kept in touch with me, found another guide – Elmer collected us from our hotel, introduced us to our guide, Tito, and we had a magnificent sunrise tour of Tikal (it was a little foggy, but we cannot blame the guide for that! :-))
It is truly rare, anywhere in the world, to find such friendly, helpful, exceptional customer service. I cannot recommend Elmer highly enough

The Overstory of Tikal - Even after our flight to Flores being changed (more than once!) Elmer was flexible and accommodating to assure our tour turn out perfectly. Upon pickup Elmer began a conversation about similarities in the local geology and our home state. (He had researched where we were from so he would be able to relate information.) I knew we were in for a treat. Elmer's expertise was beyond amazing. His knowledge of the history was not limited to the ruins in Tikal. He knew the botany and the animal life of the jungle. He knew the story of the Myan civilization and the history of the archeological excavation. He even knew the perfect roadside eatery to have a delicious, authentic meal to finish of the day. A delightful tour that imparted weeks-worth of information and a life-time of memories in one all-too-brief day!
