• Guatapé - Come join us as we escape the city of Medellin as we take a full-day excursion to the unique city of Guatapé. See and climb the colossal El Penol rock that rises above the town with 702 steps to get some photos of the most spectacular views in South America. Your guides will be available to help you take photos and get the true experience. Afterwards we return to the town of Guatape for a city walk and then enjoy a beverage on us before we head back to Medellin. Round-trip hotel transport and lunch are included.

We will collect you from Medellin in a cooled private SUV or a 12-passenger van, depending on the group’s size. Enjoy the picturesque drive to the historic town of Guatapé, where you’ll see a model of the town now submerged in water. Once we reach the scenic town, take a leisurely walk along the charming cobblestone streets, accompanied by your well-informed guide. Visit local vendors to discover handcrafted gems. Take in the vibrantly colored colonial architecture, and then ready yourself for a 702-step ascent to the top of El Penol, guided by our team. After reaching the peak, situated 7,000 feet above sea level, enjoy the splendid views of the lush islands dotting the rich blue lake, and capture the otherworldly scenery on camera. Our guides will gladly assist you with photography and offer help as needed! We then travel to our local lunch spot (included) before returning to our vehicle and making a trip to the new town of Guatape. Here, we’ll enjoy a coffee break before making our return journey to Medellin.
