Visit to the animal sanctuary - Our guide Al was terrific and answered all questions from the beginning of our ride to the park and back. He was extremely knowledgeable on culture, the area we were in and then the animals we saw. He was patient with our grandchildren and was a pleasure to visit with.

Fantastic place with the best animal enclosures I’ve ever seen. - I’ve been a big zoo fan my whole life having visited dozens of zoos around the world. This place has the nicest enclosures I’ve ever seen. The way they’re able to replicate the animals natural habitat so well is astonishing. Staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable.

This park is right next door to the Riu resort - We stayed in the Riu resort next door to Diamanté and could enjoy seeing and hearing the howler monkeys in the trees every day that were inside the Diamanté park. We did the 2-3 hour Diamanté animal sanctuary tour through the Riu resort. Easy 10 minute bus ride to the park. Staff very friendly and informative about the animals. Enjoyed seeing Lucy the sloth get fed and the release of the jaguars. Easy walking. Frequent bus pick-up to take you back to the gift shop at the top and could enjoy the panoramic views. Highly recommend!!

Quiet time with others and staff - The staff were so helpful. Upfront with the Toucans amazing. My camera worked overtime on the butterflies and toucans. I was in heaven and sharing sloth info was world class. Just sitting quietly watching and listening fit my aura even chatting with seniors.

50/50 Excursion - Overall we had a great time at this excursion. We arrived early to watch the sloth feeding which isn’t a feeding at all they don’t move an inch for anything at all. Most of the birds and Animals are limited to see as their is only about 2 birds in total in each cage. The most thrilling thing was the jaguars as they are very active but very sad to see them in captivity and dying of heat. At the end we saw one sloth eating. The monkeys are also really sad to see as you can see monkeys for free anywhere in Costa Rica and hand feed them I was upset that they are caged here like all the animals are. Would I do it again never wouldn’t really miss anything
