Wonderful day in Snaefelsnes - Great tour led by Beggi & our driver Chris. Majestic sights and interesting back stories of Iceland culture. Beggi is very knowledgeable and entertaining as well as patiently answered our questions. There was a delay with the tender service from our ship and they waited & made sure everyone who signed up was accounted for. Highly recommended.

Beautiful views, excellent guide and bus driver - Wonderful tour! Loved getting to go to so many places and see so much of the beautiful peninsula in such a consolidated amount of time. Our tour guide Jennifer and bus driver were excellent. The tour provided alternative options for those with mobility limitations. Excellent option for cruise travelers. Convenient pick up and drop off location right at the pier and our cruise ship offered an identical tour for twice the price.

Delivered everything promised - Knowledgable guide - This was our 4th Viator / Trip Advisor excursion in Iceland and like the others, it delivered everything promised. We left about 30 minutes late because we waited for some other passengers who could not get there sooner tendering off the ship. The first waterfall stop was only a few minutes out of town. It was a bit underwhelming but the best we saw that day within easy reach of the parking lot. On the south coast, they are a lot bigger. The black sand beach was interesting and offered two levels of trail, one high up and reachable with wheel chairs and walkers and one down the steps to the beach. Views were very good. Restroom stops were well spaced. One of the most interesting stops was a 2.5km walk along the cliff tops to see huge colonies of nesting sea birds and great views. My wife was turned off by the distance but the trail was smooth and had minimal elevation change. At age 80 wearing an ankle brace and a walking stick, I had no difficulty completing it in about 30 minutes. The final stop was a historic church that was interesting but not exceptional. Our guide Jennifer was knowledgable and easy to understand. For the length, the tour was more expensive than our longer south coast small group tour but perhaps that was due to the remoteness of the place.

Nice tour - Saw some wonderful sites, walked on black rocks to see the ocean. Although the weather was rainy the opperator was very enthusiastic and entertaining.

Great Tour Guide - Our guide went over and above any we’ve ever experienced. There was WiFi on the bus and everyone could post pictures and comments. He even gave helpful tips for photographers.

Disappointing - This was our third Viator tour during our Iceland visit and because of the guide the worst.. The other guides were outstanding in every way. This one didn’t seem to understand how the sound system worked and as a consequence it was difficult to understand him if you weren’t in the first couple of rows in the van. The step into and out of the van was quite high making ingress and exit challenging. I saw what appeared to be a lower step below the step and asked him if he could use it and he said he had seen it and had tried to us it but couldn’t figure out how to do so. He drove past several interesting sites, man made or natural without comment and paid little attention to time. This should not detract from the other Viator tours we took which were terrific.

Cruise cancelled port. No refund. - Because of strong winds, our cruise canceled this scheduled port the day before the intended visit. It was in no way our fault and I understand that this operator needs to have a cancellation policy for certain reasons, but I won’t be using them again because of it. If the cruise ship doesn’t make it to the port, they should give a refund because that is their client base and we need assurances as well. Bad weather can cause ships to change course or ports in very short notices. I did receive a much lower valued tour in the port that our cruise replaced the stop with, but no refund for the substantial difference. Next time I’m just going with the ship excursions because at least we got our money back on those. It’s storm season and one of our ports were changed and two cancelled because of high winds (July sailing). I can’t take the risk with this company again. People need to know that in the case of a deterred ship, you won’t get a refund. I lost the experience of the visit, but lost money as well.

Cancel your at last minute - Very disappointing that tour was cancelled less than 24 hours prior to start time with little time to rebook another tour as it was last tour of our trip.

CRUISE PASSENGERS PLEASE READ! - CRUISE PASSENGER WARNING!!! We were scheduled to do a tour that is tailored toward cruise passengers. It was scheduled to pick up and return in the port at Grundarfjordur. Due to bad weather, our cruise ship was not able to port there that day. We found out first thing in the morning and immediately notified the tour operator. The company refused to give any money back! We lost approximately $570 to this company. We tried to be reasonable and accept that they would keep some of our money to cover their costs but they were greedy and refused to offer any refund. Keeping all cruise passengers money is completely unacceptable, especially when the tour is designed to accommodate cruise passengers. The cruise ship offered 100% refund to anyone who booked an excursion directly through them. CRUISE PASSENGERS SHOULD BE CAUTIONED NOT TO BOOK AN EXCURSION because the company will not be flexible at all in the event that a port is cancelled, regardless if it out of your control.
