This tour is suitable for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider. For the well-being of the horses, a weight limit of 220lbs per rider is enforced. Your personal guide will lead you through natural landscapes, ensuring your comfort and sharing insights about the area. For those interested, there’s an optional opportunity to ride your horse into the ocean, provided sea conditions are calm. However, this may be affected by Sargassum seaweed, a natural occurrence in the Caribbean since 2011, which varies with the tide. As an outdoor activity, be prepared for possible rain during the tour. If dangerous weather is forecasted, we will contact you to reschedule. Your guide will provide water and take as many photos as you’d like. St. Lucia’s climate includes a rainy season (June to December) with wet conditions, and a dry season (January to May) with drier trails but less greenery.

One of the tour’s highlights is the option to ride your horse into the ocean, provided sea conditions are favorable—a thrilling and unforgettable experience. Unlike crowded tours, this experience is free from large groups and long lines, making it perfect for travelers who prefer to avoid the crowds and connect more deeply with nature.
- All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Weight limit of 220lbs / 99kgs / 15st applies.
- Sometimes seaweed and sea conditions may prevent a swim with the horses.
- We do ride out rain or sun as this is an outdoor activity. If the weather is forecasted to be dangerous, we will contact you to reschedule.
- Not recommended for travelers that have recently had surgery.

We are located on Beach Drive opposite the East Gate of the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Beausejour. Take the first right and head on up the forest road which is a short hill. It's just 90 meters to the top. There is parking space available both at the top and bottom of the hill.

Staff was great, our tour... - Staff was great, our tour guide was Oliver! It was a majestic experience, Oliver was an amazing guide with more talent and experience on a horse than can be imagined. Would recommend to everyone. Please note getting to the horse farm is a challenge but once climbing to it you’re welcomed by friendly people and friendly dogs. The private views we off the charts. Western sattle but English bridal.

Great time horseback riding in St Lucia! - Our whole extended family went on the 2.5 hour Sandy Hoofs horseback ride. We included the light lunch and taking the horses into the water and it was definitely worth adding that option. The guides were great too!

My Horse Ride - Would've liked to have been a less rough waved area of the beach. Was looking forward to being in the water like the picture on the ad. Wasn't the guides fault at all. Just the waves that kept ME from going in.

Amazing Time & Customer Service - Our entire experience with Sandy Hoofs was amazing! They were very accommodating when it came to our recorded weights being a little off from what we presented as. Alpha and Kazan were our tour guides and they went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was unforgettable.

A horseback ride to remember - I had an absolutely amazing time riding with Sandy Hoofs in St. Lucia! From the moment I arrived, it was clear how much they care for their horses—they are well-fed, well-loved, and happy to take you on an unforgettable ride. Trotting along the beach with the waves at our feet and then actually riding into the ocean was a surreal and magical experience! The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was safe and enjoyable. If you’re ever in St. Lucia, this is a must-do adventure that you won’t forget!

Best ever horse back riding experience - highly recommend! - I had an absolutely best ever horseback riding ride with Arkim at Sandy Hoofs. It was a perfect mix of scenic sights, unique horse riding experiences and great conversation.
With some horse back riding in my past, we got to canter often, which is such an exhilarating feeling. I got to go bare back on Arkim’s horse as he guided his horse through the water - a first time ever for me. We also rode through the water at one point.
When we stopped to take in the scenery, I got to try drinking coconut juice from a coconut and scooping the delicious inner coating in the coconut - another first time ever.
Conversation with Arkim was open, honest and interesting,
I travel a fair bit to new countries for vacation and I always try to join a horse back riding experience. Of all, this one is by far the best.
Thank you Arkim for a truly unique and beautiful afternoon - much appreciated!
I highly recommend Sandy Hoof horse back riding if you are in St Lucia.

Horseback Ride of My Dreams - We had the greatest time on our ride with our guides Arkim and Kazan. They are so proud of their horses and treat them with such love. The ride was so beautiful, we got to see two beaches and went bareback in the water. They took so many photos and videos, which makes all the difference when it comes to making vacation memories!! Can’t recommend Sandy Hoofs highly enough.

An adventure was had! - These men work hard for their money. The stable is big; go over the waiver and basically get on your horse. Akeem was so patient with the 6 yr old and guided her and the horse all the way to the beach. The beach view was amazing and clean. He even got us some coconuts to cool down with. We did go in the water with the horses and let me tell you not as easy and it seems. We had great conversations; laughs; scared and tans for the day.
