Friday nights for the brave - It is interesting why there are no reviews here for this event. It’s been going for years every Friday evening. On paper it’s a mash up of very loud Dancehall music, stay dogs and cigar smoke and drinks and street food. But in reality it’s one short Main Street full of igloo boxes of beer and local punch. There are a couple of makeshift bars in the style of New Orleans. these are well lit and have toilets, these are a refuge for the timid as the main street beyond is a mix of Disney meets St Lucia and a lot of eyes watching from the side streets. It’s quite unnerving especially if you’re staying in a nice hotel nearby, which of course you are. So yes I’m a bit of a wus but I won’t be going back. If you’re braver than me then go for it. But ensure you know where your taxi is waiting and be gone soon after 2300. To me it feels like tourists are permitted here for a few hours before the locals take over. Fair enough, it’s their town.

Wouldn’t go out of my way to attend - It was a fun vibe with a couple of people selling items and a lot of people selling rum punch but everything was pretty repetitive.

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND - These people are the absolute WORSE!! Not only does driver not communicate before hand, company had the audacity to say they couldn’t find us and that driver was mad! WHY NOT CALL OR EMAIL!! We had to find another means of transportation at the last minute and pay someone else while we wait on our refund! DO NOT BOOK WITH JAMES TOURS!! You have been warned!

Failed to be picked up - We did not get to attend the event because our driver did not show to pick us up. We attempted to call him multiple times for ETA, initially he answered the phone and stated he was in traffic, but after he was over 40 minutes late, he stopped answering our phone calls. Also this was highly over priced as the street party was free and less than 2 miles from our resort

Do Not Book!! - Don’t book this excursion through this guy. He charged us way more than a regular taxi and never showed up to pick us up. We were scammed out of $50.
