Volcan experience - Striking and impressive I highly recommend the visit! Super guide named Leifur! Especially the climb to the crater of the volcano and the accumulation of lava lying on the slope of the volcano that reaches downstream

Volcano Tour - We enjoyed our Volcano Wonders and Grindavik Tour today led by Flosi from Reykavik Excursions. Having followed the volcanic activity over the last few years it was exciting to see it in person. Flosi shared his extensive knowledge and led us on a 2-hour hike to see the newest magma flows. We also stopped at an area with fumaroles, bubbling pools and mud pots, where we could smell the Sulphur, just like in Yellowstone. We stopped for a fish and chip lunch in Grindavik where we saw the caused by earthquakes. Flosi also showed us a few sights which tourists don't normally see. Thanks for the experience.

Great trip on a lava field - Great tour with our guide Albert ! He took the time to tell us lot of anecdotes and stories about Reykjavik and Iceland during the drive. We had a couples of short stops to take pictures. Arrived at the hike place, he was with us to safely guide the group on the lava field. This was truly a unique experience ! Albert took the time, we had an hour and half on site, which is a good amount of time to walk and enjoy the view. If you want to, you can be by yourself during this time, just make sure to come back before the bus leaves ! (and at your own risk, the place can be dangerous) We stopped for lunch at a restaurant, and then we drove around Grindavík, mostly to witness the damage done by the recent volcanic eruptions. Interesting but a bit sad :( A great tour with a great guide ! (If you take the option to go to Blue Lagoon, you will be dropped off here, and the guide will give you a ticket for a FlyBus bus, to go back to Reykjavik. Be careful, the bus comes every 2 hours, and I didn’t have this information at first. I had to take a taxi to returns to Reykjavik, as I missed the bus and I had to wait 2 hours for the next one … It was expensive …)

Grindavik, lava, vulcan - a tour through Icelandic nature - A vulcan-lava-day with Albert 🙂 busdriver and guide. Knowledge hand in hand consideration. Despite of weather condition he managed to give a wonderful tour. Information hand in hand with a balance of time just to enjoy. Walking on lava from 2003, tour through Grindavik and area etc. Much more to benefit at this tour than I had dare to hope. Go for it 👍
