- Pigeon Valley - Nestled between Göreme and Uçhisar, Pigeon Valley derives its name from the numerous dovecotes carved into the soft tuffs since ancient times. While these dovecotes are scattered throughout Cappadocia, they are particularly abundant in this valley. Pigeon Valley is a delightful spot where some cave houses are painted white to attract pigeons. The valley is also renowned for its stunning landscapes.
- Kaymakli Underground City - Situated beneath the hill known as the Citadel of Kaymakli, the Kaymakli Underground City was opened to visitors in 1964. The residents of Kaymakli (historically known as Enegup in Greek) have built their homes around nearly a hundred tunnels of the underground city. The locals still utilize the most accessible areas within the tunnels as cellars, storage spaces, and stables, which they reach through their courtyards. The Kaymakli Underground City features low, narrow, and sloping passages. Although the city extends 8 floors underground, only 4 are currently open to the public, with spaces organized around ventilation shafts.
- Ihlara Valley - Ihlara Valley is a breathtaking canyon approximately 100 meters deep and 10 km long, formed by volcanic activity from Mount Hasan and erosion by the Melendiz River over hundreds of thousands of years. It is one of the most rewarding excursions from Cappadocia. Ihlara Valley is not only a natural wonder but also a historical site, having hosted monastic life between the 4th and 13th centuries. It boasts over four thousand residences and a hundred hidden cave churches adorned with frescoes. Upon descending into the valley, visitors can enjoy a 4 km walking trail alongside the Melendiz Stream, which gently divides the valley. The stream is shallow, allowing easy crossing from one side to the other.
- Belisirma - After exploring the valley, visitors can enjoy a meal in the village of Belisirma, located along the Melendiz Stream within the valley.
- Selime Monastery - Selime Monastery is an impressive rock-cut structure and the largest religious building in the Cappadocia region, featuring a cathedral-sized church carved directly into volcanic tuff. Inside, original frescoes can be found, though some have been weathered over time. The ancient region bears traces of early civilizations, including the Hittites, Persians, Romans, Early Christians, Byzantines, Seljuk Turks, and Ottomans. The church is divided into three sections by two rock columns and includes kitchens, stables, and monk living quarters adorned with frescoes that have faded over time.
