- Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park - Straddling both the Scottish Highlands and the Lowlands, this island-studded loch boasts the largest surface area of any of Scotland’s lakes. It’s also one of its most famous, thanks in no small part to a well-known Scottish folk song that speaks of its “bonnie banks.” The lake’s mirror-clear waters reflect the crags and peaks that rear up around it, most notably the 3,195-foot (974-meter) Ben Lomond on its eastern shore, whose summit offers views of both Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Travelling in one of our Mercedes Benz vehicles.
- Aberfoyle - Travel into the Trossachs National Park with a guide and visit the pretty Highland village of Aberfoyle, where life ticks by at a wonderfully relaxing pace. Stopping at various places for time to take photos.
- Luss - Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. Here you will have time to explore the pretty village and enjoy the breath-taking views from the pier.
- Kilmahog - Kilmahog where you will have the opportunity to meet a Highland Cow’s with the opportunity to feed them and will have some time to buy Scottish souvenirs.
- Callander - Stopping in this most visited village that was the gateway to the highlands.
- Stirling Castle - Perched above the city of Stirling on a chunk of volcanic rock, this mighty Scottish fortress has seen it all, from attacks by Robert the Bruce to the coronation of the infant Mary Queen of Scots to the premiere of the movie “Braveheart” in 1993. In addition to the impeccably recreated Royal Palace interiors and the sheer amount of history held within its robust walls, the castle also offers superb views over Stirling and Scotland’s green hills and valleys.

Awesome Day in Scotland - We had never done a private shore excursions from the cruise before, we had always booked through the ship. However, when all of the shore excursions were already booked for this voyage we decided to go with Glasgow Chauffer Hire, Ltd. for our excursion from Greenoch and that was the best decision we could have made. Our driver Tom was early to pick us up and gave us a tour of Scotland we could not have done through the ship excursions. Having a private car was so relaxing and we could enjoy the Scottish countryside in peace. Loch Lomond National Park was beautiful and Tom kept the drive both peaceful and entertaining with his knowledge and humor. One of the highlights of the tour was to stop and pet/feed Scottish highland cows. A tour of Sterling Castle also did not disappoint, and we even had time for lunch. Tom's knowledge of the area allowed us to route around traffic issues and be flexible to adjust the tour in order to fit it all in. Never once did I feel that we were at risk of missing our all aboard time with the cruise ship. Thanks Tom! This was voted on by our kids as one of the best shore excursions we have done so far.

Great to experience - Tom was a delight the entire time. The four of us joked with him the entire time and he joked back. He was also very knowledgeable of the areas we visited which really enhanced the experience. Thanks Tom.

Lochs and Glens Castles & Gardens Holiday - We had a really great holiday with Lochs and Glens - on their Castles and Gardens Holiday. The hotel in Loch Tummel was lovely, with a gorgeous view of the loch and hills from our window, The food and staff were great, as usual.
This isn't a holiday for relaxing - the company fits in quite a few places for you to visit, but it's well worth doing.
We were with a new coach driver - Aiden - and he was great. I hope Lochs and Glens hire him again as he will be a great asset to them - a 'people person' and very approachable.
Just to mention - the hotel is situated down quite a long track (about15 minutes?) but the coach drivers are experienced; it's just that this is a bit of the journey you will have at the start of every excursion. Not a problem - the upside is that you stay in a beautiful peaceful area.

Great experience in Glasgow - We were a group of 6 adults on a cruise excursion and had a wonderful day with Paul. He was very friendly and shared some great stories and history. Stirling Castle was beautiful and after our group tour he escorted us through the king/queen chambers and kitchen. He stopped for is to feed some cute cows He reserved lunch in a small village and made recommendations. Loved the beef pie. He also gave recommendations for our next stop on cruise. Vehicle was very clean and water was provided as well. Thanks for the great experience Paul 😀

Exceptional day spent in the lochs and glens - Tom was fantastic! He was on time (actually early), very personable and engaging. He was humorous, informative, and was able to adapt our itinerary based on places we had already been. He suggested an excellent restaurant for lunch on Loch Lomond, and was able to skirt the weather to keep us dry and on track. The coach was spotless and was kept exceptionally clean throughout our day together. Highly recommend him!! PS He took great group photos for us.

Scottish Lochs and Stirling Castle - Our family with older teens and young adults really enjoyed our day! Tom picked us up from the Greenock cruise terminal and was a fantastic driver and guide! We went to Stirling Castle and also to Loch Lamond and the Trossachs. He was very flexible and tried to keep us ahead of the buses and also ahead of the rain. Tom was very knowledgeable and also kept it entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour!

The Good and the Bad! - We got off to a bad start! The coach arrived and we were so shocked, as it was absolutely filthy inside. So much for luxury travel. The toilet was so disgusting one couldn't even use it, and we had to spend the next 8 days on this coach 😩. We arrived at the Ardgarten hotel and it was truly lovely, however the food isnt. Typical care home food courtesy of Brake brothers! But it's to be expected when you look at the price range. But the rooms, beds, staff and service more than made up for the lack of quality and taste. Back to the coach and driver! We had a scheduled trip planned to Ben nevis(which included a gondola ride)however thecdriver(Steve)had decided the day before that the weather wouldn't be suitable so was cancelling the trip, and offered us an alternative at an extra cost!. So the next day off we all wet to Fort William and some of us giving him the benefit of doubt waited to see if he would change his mind ,which he didn't do. These people forget we are savvy, we can Google and we were aware that the weather was fine and the gondola ride was open, however Steve was more interested in initiating g his own pocket at our expense. When we returned to the hotel, a few of us complained to Mr. Ian Wells(the Manager) not only about the driver but also about the coach. He assured us he would go straight out to look at the coach(still waiting) also nothing was said about the drivers behaviour with switching the itineraries if and when it suited his pocket or mood. Then we had the poached egg saga! One morning I asked for "poached eggs on toast" which was on the breakfast menu. What I received was teo eggs on a plate with two half pieces of dry toast on the side?. I kindly asked for what was listed on the menu, which resulted in Mr. Wells coming over and telling me in a loud patronising tone(in front of my fellow travellers) that "he had worked in restaurants around the world and you NEVER serve poached eggs on toast!. I've eaten the same in restaurants around the (including 4 and 5 star)and have always been served poached eggs on toast just as it says. Did this have something to do with the fact that he knew that I had made it known that I wasn't happy with the fact that he'd let us down with his promises?. Sadly(don't know if it's just coincidence)that 2 thirds of the coach got laid up with some sort of virus by mid-week some, including both my friend and I being quite poorly. We heard that the transport manager lived in the local village and we actually drove past Lichs and glens head office and yet nothing was done to rectify the awful situation we had to endure on that disgusting coach for 8 days, not even an apology. Seems they'd had their money so weren't interested, so be it, shame on you.

No Show - No one showed up. We tried repeatedly to contact the tour guide and no response.
We contacted viator and they could not reach anyone. Money was refunded...
Only company we had an issue with. 9 bookings over 11 days.....pretty good record for Viator.
