Imbros Gorge is situated south of the Lefka Ori mountains and takes approximately 3 hours to traverse. The hike begins in Imbros village. Participants will be dropped off at the entrance and picked up at the end. Please note, the driver will not accompany you on the hike. The drive to and from the location is about 2 hours each way.
Most of the hike is shaded, with a narrow trail that is easy to follow. It’s advisable to bring plenty of water and a hat.
Imbros Gorge is a smaller version of the Samaria Gorge. The breathtaking scenery is perfect for nature enthusiasts and wildlife observers. It’s considered the best hike for children aged 10 and above, being half the size of the more challenging Samaria Gorge.
After exploring Imbros, there is an option to visit Frangokastello Beach or enjoy a wine or olive oil tour/tasting for an hour. Participants can choose one option. Tastings and lunch cost around 20 euros per person and are paid separately. Please note, tastings are not available from November to March.
