• Isthmus of Corinth - The Isthmus of Corinth is a slender land bridge linking Central Greece with the Peloponnese. The canal carved through it connects the Saronic Gulf with the Gulf of Corinth. Spanning approximately 6 kilometers, its narrowest section is where the Corinth Canal was constructed (1880-1893). Historically strategic, a wall was erected here in ancient times (end of the 5th century BC) and remained until the Byzantine era (Hexamilion).

Our journey begins at the impressive Corinth Canal, located in the Peloponnese, the southern peninsula of Greece. This canal links the Saronic and Corinthian Gulfs in the Aegean Sea.

• Galatas - Galatas is a coastal town in the Attica region, situated directly across from Poros, separated by a narrow strait. Regular ferry services operate between Galatas and Poros. The Galatas – Poros trip takes 5 minutes and costs 4€ for both a person and a car. Alternatively, you can cross to Poros on a boat (1.20€/person, 5-minute duration, for passengers only) with continuous departures.

• Archaeological Museum of Poros - Situated in Korizi Square near the port, the Archaeological Museum of Poros showcases artifacts from the temple of Poseidon on the island and excavations in nearby Peloponnese areas like Methana, Galatas, and Ancient Troezen.
• Municipal Library
  Located in the streets of Poros Town, the Hatzopoulios Municipal Library was inspired by Ekaterini Hatzopoulou. Housed in a Neoclassical building, it features a small cinema room and frequently hosts exhibitions.
