Rituals, discovery and emotion - How to enter a magical world, made of history, rituals and continuous innovation... just like England is. Twinings is a historic brand, but also very commercial today, so I have never been so attracted to visit it, although I love tea. Visit only the shop here maybe I do not recommend it, but do the masterclass yes. Alessandra accompanied us in history, made us taste six different teas. A journey worth making if you love this drink and discover its history. Discovering what lies behind a tea leaf is exciting. The room is perfect for welcoming guests in an intimate and professional way, a corner of paradise in a very small shop full of charm. To make a difference however always people, Alessandra is passionate and loves to transmit the culture of wine because you can see that she is deeply in love with tea.

Get to learn the interesting history of tea with a great host! - Our host was amazing. His passion for tea and history was contagious and it made the two hours session fly by. The 1st hour is focused on the origin of tea and its impact on the world, and the second half was when you try the different teas. My husband and I had a great time and left this session with a greater appreciation of tea. I definitely recommend this experience and if you do make sure to book it with Angelo! You won’t regret it.

A truly entertaining session - The experience is fantastic! Our host was incredibly knowledgeable, authentic and entertaining keeping the experience light and interesting. Unfortunately we were joined by a group of young Mexican ladies, who rudely interrupted, and loudly talked while the host was in the middle of his presentation.

Fun and Enlightening - This was more than tea tasting and more of a history lesson. Learned about tea coming to London and the history of this side. Really didn't focus too much on the history of the teas that sampled. Really fun that was a small group and had time to mock each other on what we tasted/smelt with any immediate "suggestions" from our "teacher" or rolled eyes from other participants. Also sampled teas that would not have tried and opened up my viewpoint to add some new types of teas into the fold.

Very exclusive and unique... - Very exclusive and unique experience! The masterclass was in the basement at a chic and clean bar, together as a group of six. We got taught about the origin and history of tea, then tried six different sorts of tea and talked about it. We learnt a lot - really recommendable, if you are interested in tea.

Thoroughly enjoyed it - Very polished and informative. First hour gives lots of background information and second hour is filled with multiple types of tea to inspect and evaluate. In a lovely intimate setting.

Interesting and cultural afternoon - Really interesting experience. Learnt so much about Tea and most importantly how to properly make it! Alexandra was a very knowledgeable and passionate teacher. Who answered all our questions perfectly. Would highly recommend.

Educational and enjoyable - The two hour class is divided into a one hour lecture about the history of tea production and one hour of tasting six different teas. The lecture was educational and well-presented and the tasting exposed us to some less well know teas. As an added bonus, you get a 10% discount in the shop on the day of the class. What could be improved is the pacing of the class. We were given a mug of tea at the beginning, and then nothing until Part II of the class. It would have been nice to space out the different tastings more evenly. I also would have appreciated a little lesson on the best preparation of our tea at home. (What was our instructor doing under the counter?) I learned some new things, I enjoyed myself, and - as I was shopping heavily - the class more or less paid for itself with the discount. Recommended to all foodies and tourists!
