Experience it in its full glory on an exclusive nighttime tour as you head inside after the gates to the public have closed. As you explore the external grounds in the company of a Beefeater guard as your guide, you’ll uncover age-old secrets and tales of the Tower’s past before witnessing one of London’s most historic acts: the Ceremony of Keys.
- Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
- Sites on this tour are subject to occasional closures. If modifications are needed and time permits, we will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, modifications may be communicated at the tour start time.
- Full names of all participants need to be entered when booking for security.
- This tour does not include access to the Crown Jewels or access inside the buildings. This is a tour of the Grounds only and The Ceremony of the Keys.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at 3 Tower Place, London EC3R 5BT. Meet your coordinator for check-in at the West Gate entrance, which is opposite the Starbucks and in front of the Tower of London giftshop.

A night to remember - It is totally outdoors and at night it was cold, so bundle up. Our Beefeater was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. My planned this on my husband’s birthday and he loved it.

It was so up close and... - It was so up close and personal. Barry was amazing. He was full of interesting facts with a bonus sense of humor. We learned so much and it was pretty cool to watch and be apart of an historic ceremony.

Amazing Experience - Small group tour at night hitting some key parts of the tower before being placed at a prime spot to watch the ceremony of the keys. Really cool to be in the tower at night!

Tour good, Viator guide not so good - The tour was amazing but your viator guide let you down, we were meant to meet your guide standing at the location given at 5:15 holding a green sign, well he forgot the sign so we were left staying feeling anxious taking to other people also thinking what’s happening did we miss it or something. Also never given an actual ticket in

A must do experience! - This was a fantastic experience! The Yeoman Warder that took us through the grounds and to the Key Ceremony was phenomenal! He had so much wonderful information from the history to daily life at the Tower of London. I’ll be honest I hesitated a bit when I saw the cost, but I’m so happy I booked this experience.

Barney the Beefeater - Barney the Beefeater was brilliant, his knowledge was fantastic and delivered in an amusing manner.
There were some poor bits regarding the viator organisation of the event, we were requested to redeem our tickets from a location that didn’t have a clue about why we were there, the viator representative only checked our names off his list.
Being able to actively take part in the Ceremony of the Keys was awesome.

Spectacular! - This was hands down the best tour I've ever been on in my entire life, regardless of country. We had a small group of 10, and a wonderful Yeoman Warder as a tour guide, and the ceremony of the keys was the icing on top of the cake. We'll worth the price!

Beefeater Clive is super knowledgeable - Beefeater Clive was amazing. We learned more in the 90 minutes than in a day tour. It was the perfect size group. We went and saw things that a small group could see

Tower of London Keys ceremony - Our guide was absolutely marvelous and the site itself is fascinating. However, we had to stand behind another group of 50 people and were unable to see most of the actual Ceremony of the Keys, which was disappointing.
