Our family’s tour of the Tower of London - While I give this event a five star rating, it is only because of the Beefeater Warden’s portion of the tour. The Beefeater did a terrific job and made it a wonderful event. He was knowledgeable, funny, informative and highly engaged. However, and while I have never done this before, I’d give our contact guide with Viator a zero on a scale of 1-10. He was absolutely worthless. After showing up late, he tried to be humorous with his explanation about various episodes in the castle, all of which fell flat and some of which were rather tease less. As we waited to get in for the early viewing of the Tower near the entrance gate, we asked him to provide some information about the castle and the events that occurred here. He was unable to do so. Our group of 11 was unanimous in feeling he was absolutely worthless as a guide. I would only recommend this tour based on the terrific job the warden did in our 30 minute period of time with him. Sorry Mr Guide, but you need to find other employment.

Enjoyable tour and... - Enjoyable tour and interesting information. It was really good to be at the Tower before it was mobbed with tourists. Be prepared to stand for 1.5 hours as there is no seating until after the first part of the your tour is complete.

Although this says “first... - Although this says “first entry” it is not the Ceremony of the Keys, which is the one we really wanted (and thought this was). It was ok, a short intro by a “tour guide” and then handed off to the Beefeater.

Worst tour ever - a... - Worst tour ever - a complete rip off. We got there on time - met at ticket counter as told to. We met with tour guide who told us she needed to basically waste 15 minutes of our time while she waited for some people on another part of a tour meeting us at 1pm. We then walked to Tower of London where she got us in and dropped us off at a beef eater. He had no idea who she was and said he never saw her. She wouldn’t tell not tell him her name. She ran ( literally) out of there. He explained to all of us he gives a 15 minute talk and then hands us back to a guide. She was long gone. This tour was by City of Wonders - please be careful booking this tour - everyone was very confused. So aside from a 15 minute meeting with the beef eater that was the whole tour. Surprised Viator has this on their site. We went on a different tour at Westminster Abby and that one was great.

Odd - It was ok. I could’ve done without the beefeater monologue. There was an awkward handoff from the tour guide to the beefeater. Beefeater mentioned to the group that this was not the normal handoff and that he had never seen this guide before. I wouldn’t book this tour.

Disappointed - It’s not a guided tour as it implies.
No indication where you are supposed to meet up. Sent to 3 different places. Greeter could have cared less. Did her intro then “ditched” the group with beefeater

Waste of Money - Meeting a Beefeater was interesting but certainly not worth the price. After his 15 minute talk, we were on our own for both The Tower of London and the Crown Jewels! Really, what did we pay for?
