A Ripper of a tour!!!! - A very insightful tour of the Whitechapel area and its gruesome history. Our guide, Rob, was engaging, funny and very knowledgeable. It’s an hour and a half walk around the streets of London with some projected images to give a look at how the exact spot you are standing on would have looked in 1888. Well worth your time and money.

Fascinating History Mystery! - Our guide, Andre, was really entertaining, lively and well informed (despite the searing heat - if it's warm, take yourself a bottle of water!). It was fascinating to see some of the actual places that these gruesome, unsolved murders took place in historic London. Really enjoyed learning about the theories behind who The Ripper could have been. I have my theory, but I recommend going along to see which you think is the most likely...although we'll never know for sure!

Worth a trip to Whitechapel for this - Excellent fun, lots of information if you are interested in this subject. You get to walk around and see to the best of their ability the places where the murders were committed. Guide was animated so kept everyone engrossed.

Clever and informed - The guide (Alan from Nottingham) was mose excellent. He kept the large group corralled and informed over 2 hours. His knowledge and narrstive was extensive. There were many other groups working the same route so it did also involve movement coordination between guides.

Whitechapel ,Jack The Ripper Walking Tour - This was an exceptionally interesting experience, perhaps not for young children . We had a young female guide who conducted our walk , her presentation was excellent.

Teens and rubber neckers - There are precious few illuminated visions but they add juice to the narrative. We're not rubbernecking fools but we gad a 12 year old granddaughter along. She enjoyed the talk. Us - we would have not gone. Guide was properly dramatic but subject was not intragel part of London

Interesting and worthwhile tour - Fun way to see a different part of the city. All the events happened relatively close to one another so there's not as much walking as on other historical tours. Docent uses a projector to show historical images onto the sides and ceilings of current structures that now stand to give you a sense of a century-ago. There are some autopsy photos so wouldn't bring small children (unless they're into that). Enjoyed the cultural and historical bent of the tour as well.

It’s an OK tour, quite graphic, but a bit lacking in context for me, - The tour was comprehensive, with a lot of information given on the background of the victims, and the manner in which they were killed. RipperVision (projection of images from a handheld projector) added to it, more than I expected, especially given that we did the 5pm tour in august, so it was still daylight. So why only three stars? Harry, the guide, was fluent in his delivery, but pretty jaded. He’d wrap up each section by abruptly turning and walking briskly to the next stop. He didn’t really seem interested in engaging with questions, generally responding with “good question, we’ll be getting to that later”). Also, and he was pretty clear about this from the beginning (though I wish they’d been a bit more clear on the website when I booked, because this wasn’t my primary interest), this is a tour for people who want to hear *all* the gory details. How were the victims killed exactly, how many knife wounds, which body parts were targeted, were they dismembered/difigured, and if so, where were the body parts found? There just wasn’t that much historical context. What was the press saying? How were the women viewed, either as prostitutes/alcoholics (while alive) or victims (dead). Did people blame the victims, the killer, or both. He did mention police forces (which had been established decades earlier), but really only in passing. What methods did they use?

Lacking in WOW factor - The tour just felt flat and there was so much walking for very little to see. On reflection though, considering the reign of terror was nearly 150yrs ago, I shouldn't have expected to see much. 2 streets from that era were still there that were connected to JTR, but you had to have a good imagination to put yourself back in those days. The tour guide had faultless and incredible knowledge, so credit to him, but would I recommend the tour, don't know if I would
