Natural History Museum - Welcome to the Natural History Museum in London. As the tour begins, visitors pass through Bag Check and the Contactless Donations queue, where a striking giraffe skeleton stands proudly beside a taxidermy giraffe, setting the stage for the remarkable collection inside.
Upon entering the grand hall, adorned with terracotta arches and columns, playful terracotta monkeys can be seen scaling the walls, a tribute to Sir Richard Owen’s rivalry with Charles Darwin.
The first stop is the Dinosaur Gallery, showcasing prehistoric skeletons, including the famous Diplodocus. Next, the Mammals Gallery presents a wide variety of taxidermy specimens and skeletons, ranging from African elephants to cheetahs.
Finally, the Earth Sciences Gallery offers geological marvels such as gemstones and volcanic rocks. The tour concludes at the museum’s café and gift shop, where visitors can relax and purchase a souvenir. Guests can also enjoy free entry to the museum by prebooking their tickets.
