A packed museum with plenty of family friendly exhibits - Plenty to see and do here, and fun for all the family. The pictures comparing the use of the underground for shelter during the Blitz and the current war in Ukraine are fascinating. Didn’t spend too long here as was packed with families but this didn’t deter me from visiting again.

Great return visit... a popular as ever - Brilliant couple of hours with my teenager. We've been a few times but been a couple of years. Still as popular as ever worth people of all ages. Great shop (bit expensive), clean and accessible toilets, refreshments not cheap but good quality. We both really enjoyed it and will be coming back

Nice variety - This is an interesting museum looking at the history of London transport from the victorians to the era of the lizzie line. There is a nice wide selection of exhibits including some which are kid friendly. Expect there to be a lot of children and families there. The gift shop has a nice variety of gifts at a mixture of prices

Too loud - Loud to the extreme! In this Christmas holiday season children by the hundreds!! Even our 8- and 12-year-olds couldn't stand... That said, the museum itself is rich in discoveries for enthusiasts!

Disappointed overall - Disappointed overall, hardly any of the interactive screen ms worked, the lifts were broken and the stamp machines were out of order. Yes, they have two small play areas for toddlers, however, they are both very run down and quite tacky. It’s good to see the old buses and trains etc, but you cannot go on these and they are very much display only. My son is 3 and was really not interested, which is very unlike him. The best part, was seeing Santa and the elves who were very good and kept in character. Won’t be going back in a rush and probably won’t be recommending.

A little disappointed - A little disappointed, planned to visit today. Took my 15 year old son, expecting it to be bigger. Good value for money if you are a student/pensioner or on universal credit. My son got in free, and I got in for a £1. Easy to find, clean and friendly staff. Lots of interactive things to do. It was aimed more at younger families. We walked round for about an hour if that. Needs to be bigger more, could do with more vehicles through the ages.

Not worth the money. - Not great - found it to be quite boring. It was a half term day out with my 8 yr old grandson and I thought it would be interesting. Quite disappointed with the exhibits or lack of them, and not a lot to do for an 8 yr old.The downstairs restaurant didn’t have enough seating and I’m glad we took our own packed lunch as by 12.30 there didn’t seem to be enough to eat. The toilets were not particularly clean and lacked loo roll. However the staff were nice, very friendly and helpful but there seemed to be a lack of them. The whole visit lasted about an hour and that was with stopping to eat our lunch. I paid £24.00 for the two of us and I’m afraid it just wasn’t worth it, It may well just have been a bad day for the museum but I doubt I’d go back.

Horrible children - The museum is very interesting, full of great facts about London transport. It took us about 2 hours to walk around. There is lots to hop on and off. You need to buy an annual pass, but then you have tickets which is unusual but simple if you understand. It full of the most horrible children in london. You have been warned.

A Messy & Chaotic Experience - The London Transport Museum (LTM) tells the history and evolution of London's transportation system. No doubt, it has a long, rich and fascinating history, unfortunately, like London's messy network of train transfers and road congestion, the LTM mimics reality. We were only brought here because our son is a huge London transport fan. Else, we would have given it a miss. There were so many interactive exhibits that were ageing and broken down - I should have taken pictures of the number of signs stating that they were working hard to get these exhibits back up and running. Even with things broken down, for the kids, chasing after the model trains moving up and down or entering and sitting in the cabins of old trains were good enough for them. For the adults, it was horrendous. The user experience and wayfinding were so messy that it was really hard to follow the story of London's transport evolution. There was no numbering nor signs for us to follow without the story breaking up. Weirdly, they added other exhibitions like the Ukraine war bunker photo series in the mix of the 1900s transport story that it was so random and distracting. In comparison to Vienna's Austria Transport Museum, while it had its flaws, at least the wayfinding was logical and the story flowed. The only saving grace - the Museum shop and free cloak room. The museum shop really had quite a bit of unique souvenirs that I would've purchased had I had more luggage space! For its ticket price paid, maybe not again. but at least I got to visit it once. Won't be back unless for the Museum shop or new attractions and improvements are added. London has much more things to do and spend time on.
