A really good introduction to Night Photography - I was given this tour as a milestone Birthday gift and I was not certain of it's value, On arrival the guide was engaging and informative and gave a large number of settings and revealed aspects of my camera that I had not explored.
The locations for the shots were well thought out and gave me the oppurtunity to take plenty of magical pictures.

Fantastic workshop. - Fantastic! Bought my first ever camera this summer and my friend bought me this workshop for my birthday. Pictures were fantastic. Katarina the guide was ace - not only during the workshop, but also developing our confidence to go alone which I did the night after!
First three photos from the tour, the next using my knowledge!

Excellent experience - My wife and I enjoyed the experience a lot, Kat, our guide, was excellent explained everything clearly very informative and approachable. Communication from the company was really good with e-mails about a week before explaining everything we needed to know and then a day before.

Excellent tour - This all about exposure and you got to have a good DSLR and a tripod to do it. The guide was kind enough to give a few tripods to the ones who didn't have any. I took the south bank tour.I wish I had taken the other as it would involve the London Eye and the other interesting land marks. All in all its a good one, but you got to have some basic knowledge about photography.

Well worth it - I have recently started to get into photography, so I dusted off my dslr camera and booked up for this session on aperture. I went through buy a gift so paid a lot less than £100 (personally I wouldn’t have done it for £100).
Katrina (the session leader) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. Which was fortunate as I’d never gone on manual before so had no clue how to adjust my shutter speed etc.
Overall a really worthwhile 2 hours and I even managed to get a few shots I was very happy with (see below). Definitely worth booking if you’re looking to expand your knowledge and where better than London
One important is that this is for dslr cameras not phones

Aperture Workshop - The Southbank tour was given to me as a Christmas present and I didn't know what to expect, especially as I consider myself a fairly seasoned photographer. I must admit however, that the evening, despite the biting wind was definitely useful and I did learn more than I thought I would. Katrina (the guide/instructor) made the subject of aperture extremely easy to follow and understand and took us to a few places starting at Waterloo Bridge and ending by St Paul's, all along the Southbank.
There were only 6 of us in the group and our experience levels varied but the thing with photographers is that we get on and just click (no pun) even if we don't know each other initially.
It was a good night and well worth the trip into London. I had been meaning for some time to travel in at night to take photos and this was a perfect excuse to do it.
Just remember this is a tour for people who have a DSLR and not a mobile phone camera. You will only use "Manual Mode" and you need a tripod for ALL the shots. A cable release and/or timer would be ideal also.
My one criticism is that I don't feel the price of 100GBP I worth it. I think 50GBP is more reasonable. In saying that, I shall be booking the Westminster Tour because I have a discount code.
Katrina was a knowledgeable and friendly guide/instructor and made the evening was to follow, so thank you to her.

Absolutely appalling customer service - avoid at all costs! - Looks like I'm not the only one to have this experience...
I was given a voucher as a birthday gift and booked on for a date in September as part of a holiday in London. We received notification two days prior that there weren't enough people in this booking to run the tour. I was told I could rebook by email and was (after chasing!) offered 3 alternative dates, one of which I chose (or so I thought...)
I hadn't had any kind of confirmation or joining instructions so on the morning of the tour I called to confirm that we had indeed been booked in as requested.
I believe it was the owner of the business who called me back to tell me that the tour had been cancelled and that since I hadn't received an email notification, I clearly wasn't booked on anyway.
Her manner on the phone was absolutely shocking, she told me she wasn't in customer service (clearly!) and that she wouldn't give me alternative dates because she wasn't going to guess at my availability! She seemed surprised that I wasn't eternally grateful for the fact that she'd called me back on a Saturday (the day the course was supposed to be happening). She then went on to tell me that she was the best photograph tutor in England (her customer service skills clearly don't match!)
I am asking for a refund as I absolutely do not want anything more to do with this woman's business.
