Great Tour, but dress warmly!!! - Steve, the tour guide, was amazing! He was very friendly and so knowledgeable. I loved how he threw in local facts and pointed out memorable locations throughout the tour, in addition to telling us about different lights and Christmas spots.
There didn't seem to be easily accessible toilets near the starting point, so plan accordingly. Pick up location is near the side of a Marriott. I entered the building near a restaurant (towards the right) and there was a sign that said "toilets for customers only." I was going up get a take away hot drink but they didn't have to-go cups. I was directed across the street to a Starbucks for my hot bev (and toilet). But the Starbucks toilet line was long and unmoving. So I grabbed an empty cup and a cookie and headed back to the hotel restaurant. I was prepared to order a drink and use my own container, but first, the toilet. I saw the sign and there was a door code on it, so idashed through the connecting door and ran down the corridor to the loo. By the time I finished with the runaround, i had run out of time and just went directly to the tour bus.
When I first arrived at the bus stop around 530, there wasn't a queue. By the time I finished with my loo/drink search, it was 547pm and the queue was so long!! I was solo and jumped in line. Multiple busses were doing the 6p tour and the queue moved slowly as people boarded and the busses left. An employee made their way down the line looking for a solo person, so I was able to jump in front of everyone, board and my bus left right after me!
The seats on the bus were rounded, bucket-like. I was seated next to a stranger and tried to keep my distance and sit with some space between us, but the seat didn't allow for that, and I kept sliding towards her. It was uncomfortable for us both.
The best seating location was on top, towards the back, but it was windy and very cold. Definitely recommend a hot beverage, a hat, scarf and lots of layers!!
Our bus was decked out in Christmas Lights but they weren't turned on. And we didn't hear any music the whole trip. I understood that other busses experienced both lights and music and that would have made the experience more festive. Maybe play music between the spoken info?
Overall, great tour! Saw lots of beautiful lights/ holiday sights and even learned some stuff!

Fun tour - Super fun way to get in the holiday spirit! London does a great job with Christmas lights! Get there early - our bus left about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. And getting there early allowed us to be on the top deck -

Great drive for amazing lights - Great reception at the pick up point. Tour guide Alex had some great information and was witty. Enjoyed his commentary. Kudos to Mike the driver on his first day back to work after the accident.

So much fun! - For our tour we had Alex and Michael and it was a blast! The guide was super funny and made the experience even better. We saw so much during the 90 minute tour. You wouldn’t have been able to see all of the lights on foot. Highly recommend sitting on the open top portion of the bus for the best view!

Christmas lights ⭐ - Had a great time with family on this tour. Emma our guide was full of information and details about the Christmas lights and all the areas the tour went through, if your visiting London for the first time this would be fantastic as Emma gave lots of information about the best walks and places to go on the way.
When we went the weather wasn't to cold but I would advise to wear warm clothes as it is an open top bus, we had the best view of decorations and great photos opportunities. I would definitely go again next year

Little information about tourist attractions - The bus did not have, in the form of a recording, the information about the journey and the tourist points where we passed.
The person who was as a guide, little informed about the sights we were passing, or when informed, had already passed the point.
In addition, from halfway the tour the guide started private conversations with the other passengers on the bus.
