Royal palace and castle tour - Our afternoon escort made sure that we were safe; he gave us landmarks along the climb to Windsor Castle to look out for in case we got lost. He explained what to expect at the castle. He gave us tips on what to look out for. He very wisely advised us to start with the St. George’s Chapel since it closed first thus ensuring that we didn’t miss the experience. Kudos! Would do it again.

The Awe of it All! - I was in awe with what I experienced at both Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. The history and opulence and size of the grounds - just blew me away! Word of warning- if you’re going to do both tours - don’t do them on the same day! We walked over 4 miles when we weren’t riding. Also- be aware - you have to walk from Buckingham Palace to Evan-Evan’s office to catch the tour bus.

Interesting visit to Buckingham and Windsor Palaces - It is a good experience to visit the two palaces on the same day, as time is used. You have to walk a considerable distance (approximately 1.5 km) to the office of the operator Evan Evans, when leaving Buckingham Palace to take the tour bus to Windsor

Great way to see Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle in one day! - Really great way to see Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle in the same day. Meeting points were easy to find but after checking in with the guide, you’re pretty much on your own to do the self guided tour with a headset (it was great by the way, lots of info and video provided and you go at your own pace). I only wish we had more time to walk around Windsor Castle and the surrounding shopping and eating areas. I only have 2 complaints, our bus was supposed to be a “superior coach” with WiFi and USB charging AND with air conditioning. None of the ports in front of the seats worked and there was very little to no air conditioning. I knew I was going to need a charge for my cell phone after being out and about all day taking pictures and it was a disappointment not to be able to charge. The guide on the bus was kind enough to let me use his laptop to let me charge my phone- helpful to get at least 15-20% charge from 30% so I can continue to walk around and shop/sightsee before heading back to the hotel. As a perimenopausal woman with occasional hot flashes, I thought I was having one on the bus, I thought it was just me but I heard from other passengers that it was hot and their vents did not have much cool air coming out. It was super uncomfortable for me to the point of feeling claustrophobic. Please check if your A/C and usb charging ports work before using that bus. I still recommend this tour because no one else I saw had this itinerary of both palace and the castle and tbh I thought the Windsor Castle was even more impressive than Buckingham Palace. Thank you for the opportunity to see both!

Visit in September - This tour was fine, but I think we could have just bought tickets and brought ourselves and had the same experience. The leader didn’t seem to have much experience, everything ran late, and there wasn’t much communication

A shower of beauty - The palace is breathtaking in its gilt and architecture and I enjoyed seeing it. I did not walk another mile to find the bus to Windsor Castle, however. That morning chose to rain heavily and I was already drenched so I chose to return to my room. This is not so much an "escorted tour" as an entry ticket to get the headset and walk through the rooms. Directions to the meetup spot were slim to none. In the pouring rain all participants were a bit frustrated to be moved out from under the only roof in the vicinity because of fire code. Understand fire code but still was frustrating. Again, the palace is gorgeous.

Service didn't meet expectations for the tour group. - While it was neat to see both historical sites, and it was nice to have all the tickets and reservations done for us, along with the transportation by bus, I don't think I would book through this group again in the future. The guides never introduced themselves and they only were there to get us into the sites. They didn't share any historical information at all before our visits. When we were done with Buckingham and ready to go to Windsor, we were required to walk about 10 minutes to a sketchy part of town to check in for the bus ride. The receptionist seemed very busy and quickly checked us in and handed us wrist bands and told us to wait outside. The interaction was quick and to the point, without much personable chatter. The drive to and from Windsor was a bit nerve-racking with how the bus and other vehicles narrowly missed each other on the roads. I understand very well now why locals tell tourists NOT to rent a car here. You're mainly paying for the convenience of tickets, reservations, quick access, and transportation. We also didn't have much time to explore Windsor by the time we arrived, only a little over two hours. Someone like me needs more time to explore all the magnificent areas of this castle. In my opinion, the cost didn't match the service. But seeing these places was amazing. I highly recommend you visit both Buckingham and Windsor, but make sure you do them on separate days and devote most of your day to Windsor if you enjoy exploring all the rooms and artwork.

Not worth using, just as easy on your own. They are not guides. - Its NOT guided in any manner, The staff meeting you at Buckingham was late and gave only a map and wrong time for you to walk about 30 to thier off to go to Windsor Castle. Buckingham is less than an hour and the Castle is 2.5 hours. The balance is a complete waste of your time..
