Amazing few hours in the national gallery - Amazing your! Becky was very knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. It was an amazing day, we learned a lot about art history and we even learned to appreciate different artists and styles that we didn’t before. We have done several art history tours in Europe and Australia and this was by far the best. Would definitely recommend.

Great Guide!! Great Experience!! Complete with Fish and Chips!! - We had a great guide in Steph. She was great in giving us so much information on the art and helped us understand the intricacies of the art we were viewing. I never knew there was so much to know when looking at a painting or sculpture. She was so passionate about the information that was provided and especially for women's artists and Van Gogh. She was also helpful when it came to selecting a restaurant to have dinner. She led us well out of her way to a fish and chips place. She didn't need to do it, but cared enough to give a top notch experience. If we had the chance to do it again, we would want Steph to be our guide.

An amazing experience - I had Matilda as my tour guide and she was so friendly and personable, we started chatting straight away while waiting for the rest of our group. The small group size meant the tour was really personal and Matilda took the time to answer all of our questions and ask our opinions. Matilda told use the guides write their own tours and her selection of paintings was a fantastic introduction to the museum and art history. We decided as a group we wanted a beginner level tour but Matilda is so knowledgeable that any level of knowledge would find her tour interesting. The best part was her use of storytelling and humour to humanise the artists and give historical context to the art. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is new to art or daunted by the volume of exhibits. It was so much more interesting than reading signs or listening to a pre-recorded audio guide. I would advise getting to the tour extra early because the size of the museum and multiple entrances made finding her a little tricky.
