Fascinating and so worth it! - Senior Brand Ambassador was Angelo who did an amazing job of walking us through the history of tea. It was absolutely fascinating! So much so that when I get back home to the US I plan to research some of the people mentioned even more. One in particular, Mary Twining. The tasting part was great too and Angelo introduced me to a new tea, Pu’eeh, that I would have never dared to try. My husband and I highly recommend this Masterclass. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful experience - This is an amazing experience, very knowledgeable teacher who is well researched. Acquiring knowledge about the invention of tea and its journey to the UK is fascinating. The tasting part is a great experience even for those that are not tea drinkers and you can really appreciate the work that Thomas Twinning produced to create the store at the strand in London that remains to day. The opportunity to browse the store & purchase some tea is the cherry on the cake! Thank you so much Pel.

The best experience in London. DO IT! - If you are reading this JUST BOOK IT! This experience is a must do if you are visiting London. We learned A LOT about tea. Rachel our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. The experience starts with some history and background info about tea, society, tea producers and Twinings itself and then you continue with a wonderful tasting. It is a priviledge to visit their shop and access their tasting room. Thank you twinings team and Rachel specially, you did an amazing job. We will tell all our friends this is a MUST DO WHEN IN LONDON.

I just loved the way the actual tea tasting was conducted. It was very different to any other experience I’ve had before - Angelo ran a fantastic tea master class. I’ve been to several tea tasting sessions over the years and thought I knew a reasonable amount about tea, but I was in for a lesson! Angelo shared his passion for and knowledge of tea in such an engaging way - I was transfixed and the time flew! And I just loved the way he conducted the actual tea tasting. It was very different to any other experience I’ve had before. We were able to touch and smell the dry leaves and the wet leaves, as well as try the tea for six different types. He even gave us a takeaway cup of our favourite type on the way out. You couldn’t ask for more!

Wonderful and unique experience - Really informative and fun! We were escorted to a small private room (8 people max) and started with tea and biscuits. Our guide began the session with a presentation about the history of tea, and gave out tea bags if you answered questions correctly! After the first hour, we moved into tea sampling territory and were guided through brew times, histories of each tea type, and given time to ask questions and chat about tea. It was a delight.

Quaint - A unique experience tied in with a teashop tour given by attentive and knowledgeable staff. We all know the Twinings brand, but a visit to this flagship store is a must for all tourists and would be tea connoisseurs. Cosy yet luxurious, this venue is steeped (no pun intended) in history. The tea is all fairtrade, the downside being limited organic options and some synthetic flavourings being used. Ultimately, we went for the experience of having a tea tasting and to see this cute shop rather than to enjoy the tea, although we were offered some further samples to take home.
