A wonderful day bringing the history of the Dales alive with a love for all stories that are told. - Barry is the most knowledgeable and kind guide/host who painted a world of the Yorkshire Dales to include both history and all things related to both versions of All Creatures Great and Small. He brought to life the people involved in making the TV show and those who created the history of the Dales. Each stop was treated with history, stories and things to look for and not miss. A wonderful day spent with a kind man bringing life to the Dales.

Tour delivered as promised and more - I’m a solo female traveler, and I never go tours… However, I didn’t want to have to drive myself as I wanted to actually see the Yorkshire Dales. And since I also loved the show (All Gods Creatures) I thought this would be an interesting way to spend a day. Ben was the tour guide and he was promptly at the pick up point which was easy to find. He was a wealth of information along the entire tour, as well as a safe driver. The van was very clean and comfortable with large windows that made it easy to see . He made sure we saw everything on the itinerary and then some. Given this was a rainy day, I wasn’t sure how the tour would go, but it worked out perfect. Ben was very accommodating and making sure we had ample time at our stops to actually enjoy what we were seeing ,as well as providing a little insider information along each stop. He stuck to the time schedule, but I never felt rushed. This small group tour definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

Yorkshire Dales with John is a MUST. - John was an amazing driver and tour guide. He shared such interesting history/ general info about the Yorkshire Dales. Very interesting info- not a boring moment. I went on this tour because I’m a big fan of All Creatures Great and Small, but even if you weren’t a fan, I think you’d still enjoy the stops and John’s commentary along the way. Plus, he’s just a really nice and pleasant fellow. Good sense of humor, too. Beautiful scenery and picturesque stops on this tour. Highly recommend!

All creatures tour. Limited but interesting - Interesting tour with Barry. He made the most of the area and it was an enjoyable day. Most of the all creatures tour was outside pass by’s. Barry was great fun.

- An absolutely gorgeous tour! Our guide, John, was so nice and shared so much about the area and its relation to the shows/books. Stepping out into Grassington was like a dream, and we didn't want to leave! But even show aside, it really does tick all the boxes for a tourist: unbelievable landscape views, cute yorkshire towns, an old church and castle (plus loads of York history), and LOTS of sheep! 😍 Thank you, John! We're completely in love with York and the Dales!

Idyllic Day in the Dales - Our tour with John S. as our guide was such a fun adventure! John was so kind, and very knowledgeable of the area. He kept us entertained with stories and educated us about the Yorkshire Dales as well as pointing out lots of areas of interest. As a fan of the show All Creatures Great And Small it was a delight to visit some of the filming locations and see them in person, as well as other notable spots like Bolton Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was once imprisoned. But the real stars of the show were all the sheep we saw. Too many to count! Thank you John!

Beautiful tour - I've been on Yorkshire tours in the past so we visited some of those same places. It's always a treat to drive through beautiful Yorkshire but I downgraded the tour by 1 because we didn't stay long enough in Grassley where most of filming sites were. We needed a little more guidance in where the sites were. Still, I recommend the tour

An unfortunate oversight - The guide was knowledgeable about the area. But! We had to go to the Wensleydale Creamery and we didn’t go. By way of reply: “Oh I forgot it’s only cheese! Excuse me." My spouse and I were disappointed.

Tour itinerary was not followed. - Trip started 40 minutes late due to a fault with bus which required a replacement bus. It did not do the itinerary posted. Our first stop was to the bus operators home and then the itinerary was done in reverse order with some stops skipped and substituted. There were no stops to Wensleydale Creamery, Aysgarth Falls or Alderson’s Farm. Only stops were in Mashem for morning ice cream, Bolton Castle for quick photo, Hawes for lunch, Hubberhome Church and Grassington. Majority of tour is a driveby with you taking pictures from a moving bus. There was no stop where you got out and take a photo of the scenic views. Driver was very nice and informative but disappointed that this tour did not follow the itinerary Mountain Goat tours advertised.
