Our lunch stop at a family-run curry and noodle bar was a culinary delight, a fusion of flavors that spoke of the island’s diverse heritage. The journey to Rochester Falls was a winding adventure through farmland, culminating in a refreshing swim at the base of the falls. As we drove along one of the most scenic roads in Mauritius, the south coast unfolded before us in a panorama of breathtaking beauty. The stunning La Prairie beach was a fitting finale to our journey, its tranquil shores a stark contrast to the wild landscapes we had traversed. On our way back, we paused at two viewpoints, each offering a unique perspective of the south coast, a final reminder of the island’s diverse beauty.
