Great tour! - We had a great experience with this tour! Laura was extremely friendly and attentive. She exposed us to a lovely cross section of foods and provided context and background to each one. The walk is an easy one, stopping in three great spots for tastings. Do this tour at the beginning of your stay so that you can take advantage of Laura’s recommendations afterwards!

Such a Fun Tour - We'll Definitely Be Back! - Signed up for this private tour (three of us plus a guide) during our recent (and first) trip to Granada as we thought it would be a good way to get familiar with the city, find some cool local Tapas places, and learn a bit about the city and it's history in a more intimate environment. This ended up being the PERFECT balance of all these! Our guide Bruce was absolutely fantastic - a wealth of knowledge about the city and it's history, and gave us some great context for how the city we were staying in came to be. We started at 11:30am with a walking tour of the area, which included stops at various points of historical significance and a local spice shop (which my wife still talks about!), before settling in to our first tapas destination. We sampled three glasses of local wine (and thus, three rounds of delicious tapas) in a space that had the vibe of a longstanding local institution - in other words, we were in the right place! After finishing what might have been a meal for some of us, we proceeded to our second destination in the historic center which was a bit of a contrast from the first - a modern clean space, and traditional Spanish fare with a contemporary touch, and washed down with a delicious glass of Albarino! After this, we were off to our final destination to sample a fantastic local dessert which was complimented nicely with a glass (or two!) of Cava. Upon looking at our watches, we were all surprised that it was after 3pm. Time had flown by, and we'd been having a lot of fun! Thanks again to our amazing guide Bruce for sharing his knowledge and passion for Granada with us - and also deftly working around a few of my tricky dietary issues. We can't recommend this tour enough!!!

Tapas tour during the great energy blackout - Our tour with Bruce was one of a kind! It was just me and my husband on the tour. Unfortunately, the extended blackout in Spain and Portugal occurred right at the start of our tour. Because of this, we were not able to sample the traditional tapas on the tour menu. The only options included dried, cured or canned items. However, our tour guide, Bruce, was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Granada and Spain. We were very impressed and enjoyed spending time touring the old town with him. He gave us great recommendations for future sightseeing in and around the city. If you get a chance to tour with Bruce, we highly recommend him.

Delve into the food history of Granada - A very interesting and enjoyable evening. Marcel is a very knowledgeable food historian and presented a plethora of facts relating to the development of tapas dishes in Granada. The Tapas itself was focused on the “food of the poor” illustrating how delicious tapas could be made from left overs and poorer cuts of meat. We also tasted a small cake called Pionono typical in Granada. It was also interesting to taste a number of wines, vermouth and Cava from the area. Thank you Marcel
