Fantastic trip to Vai Palm Beach - We were with 3 other Aussie couples and wanted to have a look along the coast to Sitia and Vai Bay from Agios Nikolaos. Our drivers were the very obliging Rolf and Petra. We had a fantastic day driving through spectacular rugged and remote landscapes. Vai Beach was gorgeous with beautiful clear water and we spent some time there swimming in the Sea of Crete and having beers on the beach. We stopped at Hiona Seafood Restaurant at Hiona Beach and had an excellent Greek style lunch. The food was delicious. There was a lot of time in the vehicle driving but it was definitely worth it and Rolf and Petra were excellent knowledgeable guides and good drivers which says a lot here! They also dropped a hat back to our hotel that had been left in the car. Many thanks Rolf and Petra.
