2 Days Splendid Rhino and Wild Dogs Safari

Mkomazi National Park - After breakfast you will be met by our guide/driver, who will deliver a short briefing before heading into the Park for a game drive. The park takes its name from a word from Pare tribe denoting “scoop of water”, referring to little water. Mkomazi is a virgin breathtaking beauty exhibiting unique natural treasures and immense sense of space, which adds to the fulfilment of visitor enjoyment expectations, which is a much needed bridge between Tanzania’s northern circuit and coastal attractions. It is a fantastic destination for birdwatchers, with more than 450 avian species recorded, among them are the dry country endemics such as the cobalt chested vulturine guinea-fowl, other large ground birds such as ostrich, kori bustard, secretary bird, ground hornbill and some migratory species including the Eurasian roller. The park is also a vital refuge for two highly endangered species, the charismatic black rhino and the sociable African wild dog.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park - You will be picked up in the morning by our English-speaking guide and together you head to the entrance of Arusha National Park, the Ngongongare Gate. After the formalities are finished, the day’s adventure can start. Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks and is a popular destination for day trips due to its proximity to Moshi and Arusha. Despite its size, the park offers a spectacular landscape and a diverse wildlife population. Giraffes, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, warthogs, baboons, colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and other animals can be seen all year round - as well as a large variety of bird species. With luck, you will also see leopards, elephants and hyenas.

Due to its stunning beauty, many scenes of the Hollywood classic “Hatari” starring John Wayne and Hardy Krüger were filmed here.
