One of the most spectacular corners of New Zealand - I was apprehensive as a grandmother about the Funyaks - I had done ghe jet boat trip before and loved it- I have to say it was spectacular and with such helpful guides and my son I was able to party and loved it- the scenery was more than I imagined! 110/100 The guides were amazing Erin, James and Matt. I’d thoroughly recommend doing the double trip if you can.

Beautiful and fun - Beautiful views. The jet boat was a lot of fun. Kayaking had great views. We cruised slowly down the river. Was a lot of fun. The lunch was very good. All the tour guides were friendly and helpful. We received great commentary on movies and shows filmed in the area. Like the man who missed his tour pick up, I also thought it was confusing. Viator mentions to meet at 9:30am at the river but can also meet in Queenstown at 8:15am and that should be mentioned in the Viator write up. I emailed them and texted the phone but never heard back to confirm where and when to meet. So I arrived early, as did others because we were all not sure. There were 37 people on the tour not 16

Fantastic fun! - Fantastic fun! JJ, our guide, was amazing! Really fun for our whole family! The Jet Boat was a blast and the Funks were a must-do!

DO IT! - Our jetboat pilot John was genial and informative and gave us a thrilling fun ride. From start to finish, the staff including the drivers and outfitters staff were all helpful and kind.

Spectacular! - The whole trip from start to finish was spectacular. The jet boat ride was so much fun and the funyaks allowed us to get into the beautiful gorge. The staff were all very experienced and friendly. Highly recommend this big day out!

Fantastic Dart River Trip - Just magnificent. Highlight of the trip. Highly recommended. Super fun upstream with Pedro in the jet boat. Incredible scenery. We joined the funyaks as a raft because of the wind, which was fine - social and relaxing. Ella our guide was ace. The side trip to the canyon was amazing. Super pro crew, fun, social, great lunch. Don’t miss - great value x

A lot of fun and excellent staff - The provided outdoor clothing kept us warm on a cool 12C day as the Jetboat roared upriver at 80 km/h. The Funyaks coming back down river were the best part and our talented guide, Michelle, kept us safe as we fooled around in the steady but gentle rapids. Would do this again!

An absolute 10+ - The scenery was breathtaking. The paddling was challenging and not for the faint of heart but the rewards were well worth the effort. The guides were knowledgeable and experienced, and helpful every step of the way. What an exceptionally perfect day

Misleading info, zero refund - Misleading information on app We are extremely disappointed with Viator’s refusal to provide a refund for our tour (Dart River Canoe and Jet Boat Experience from Queenstown, New Zealand). Viator claims that the pick-up time was stated an hour earlier on their website, but this is unfair and misleading, as we relied on the app for all bookings and information. The app clearly stated the pick-up time as 9:30 AM, but on the day of the tour, we were informed at the pick-up location that the tour had already left at 8:30 AM. To make matters worse, we were told this isn’t the first time customers booking through Viator have arrived at the wrong time due to inconsistent information. This experience has left us frustrated and disappointed. Viator should ensure accurate and consistent details across platforms, as customers shouldn’t be penalized for relying on the app they were encouraged to use. A refund in this situation is only fair but after all the emails, Viator insisted refund is not possible. We spent more than $800 for this and all went down the hill because of the misleading info. If you’re wondering if you should book it, pls don’t. Pls go to another agent or directly via the tour operator.

Fresh snow but will not cancel jet boat and kyaking. - Family started getting sick several days ago and tried to call to cancel, but no answer. Day of trip fresh snow on the mountains but the trip must go on according to them. They refused to refund so we paid $2,000 for a trip that would have been miserable. Do not book ahead, who would have thought of fresh snow and insistance on proceeding.
