Funyaks was great fun - Staff very professional. Pedro, Brandon & Georgia were all fantastic - very helpful & patient. All equipment - wetsuits, booties, gloves, jackets etc provided - it was a cold & wet day but we it didn’t matter as we were well kitted out! Lunch was great - could have had that tomato soup all day!! Thanks for a most enjoyable & memorable day

Top notch experience - What an incredible experience! This is my first time in New Zealand and my day with Dart River Adventures was my first full day here, and is still my favourite. The jet boat experience was a really cool start, taking us rapidly along the braided Dart River, taking in the landscapes and surviving the spins. Then we went funyaking which was definitely heaps of fun. The highlight was paddling into Rockburn Chasm which was absolutely stunning. The lunch was top notch and plentiful with sandwiches, platter boards and probably the best tomato soup I've ever had. And the desserts, bravo! The staff, from our first driver, to the jet boat driver and then the funyaking instructors were all super friendly and passionate, which made the whole experience just brilliant really. Would highly recommend 👌

Amazing Guide, Great Trip - We had a really wonderful experience on the Funyak trip with Dart River Adventures, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide, Rob. Rob was warm, genuine, and very helpful throughout the day. He clearly knows the river and the surrounding environment very well, and shared his knowledge in a way that felt natural and engaging. I always felt safe with him — he was calm, professional, and easy to trust. What impressed me most was Rob’s genuine curiosity and love for nature. It didn’t feel rehearsed; you could tell he really cared, and that made the whole experience even more meaningful. Several people in our group, including my parents, don’t speak English, but Rob made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. He handled everything with patience and kindness, without making anyone feel left out. We’re very grateful for the care and thoughtfulness he put into the trip. It made a great day even better. Thank you, Rob!

Amazing family experience - Great staff. Great equipment and despite the weather we had an amazing experience. Both the jet boat and the inflatable kayaks were great and family friendly.

Jet boat and Funyaks. - This was an amazing day! So much fun and was run in one of the most organised and professional operations I have seen. All the crew were fabulous and ensured everyone was well looked after. Such a unique area. I would go again.

Kotahitanga on the Awa in Te Wai Pounamu - Kia ora koutou! I took my sister and a best friend on this trip this year because I had done it before over ten years ago. It had been so memorable that I wanted them to try it. We loved every second. The manaakitanga from the staff, being able to speak to people from other people from international places was a bonus. The jet boat was so much fun and Jordan was an excellent host. My sister and I are Māori and we were blown away when Hannah and Michelle gave a karakia before the kayak section of the trip. We felt humbled by that. The gentle ride down the river and the excellent instructions from Michelle gave us immense confidence to work as a team to paddle down river. The Rockfern Chasm was amazing too. We were fortunate to be able to share our culture with the groups at lunch where we got everyone to perform a waiata-a-ringa (action song) from our Iwi, Ngāti Kahungunu called Tutira Mai Ngā Iwi and the famous haka from Ngāti Toarangatira, Ka mate. I think everyone enjoyed it and it was fun to do together. Our friend, Jacques enjoyed being part of the Kotahitanga (unity).

Super Fun - Absolutely pic. The jet boat ride with Jimmy was a super fun adrenaline ride and the funyak with Holt was super fun and you enjoy the beauty of the area. Had a blast, score of 12 on a 1-10 scale.
