Awesome - We pick out of the way locations to go explore. With the Shaka guide it helped us explore the New River Gorge without missing anything. The app was easy to use as long as you followed her directions. She had great knowledge about the history of the area. We learned a lot. The best part was it was on our schedule. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking to to enjoy the New River Gorge.

Perfect mix or car tour and hiking - This was a great way to spend a few hours in gorgeous nature and see the New River Gorge area. The tour narration was interesting and informative. I learned a lot. The car directions were precise - we never took a wrong turn (which is unusual for me, with my bad sense of direction). The choices of where to stop and get out and walk -- well selected. It was a perfect combination of car touring and hiking. You can make it as easy or as arduous as you like. BTW we spent about 4 hours, but we did a very leisurely drive. It could have been done in 2 or 3.

Had a great time. - We three ladies had such a great time! While not hiking people, the driving tour was perfect! We were able to follow the directions clearly, and just totally enjoyed the day.

Newest National Park is a great one! - Returning home from a quick trip to Virginia, we decided to swing through New River Gorge. If you love beautiful scenery, plenty of hiking trails and exciting adventures, New River Gorge is for you. After stopping by the Visitor's Center to watch the film and pick up trail maps, we hiked to spectacular overlooks through old growth woods. We only had a few hours to spend in this beautiful park, but we will definitely be back soon!

I would not use again - Finding the correct shaka app to you proved difficult for me. By the time I did get the correct one, there was no internet connection. So we never got to listen to the tour. I am hoping for a refund. We were able to find a free one through NPS app that worked fine.

Navigation has issues - The narration was good, but the navigation was lacking. Sometimes it left out steps. For example, it gave directions to enter a park and drive to a grist mill. I then paused the app. When resuming the app, the navigation directions assumed that I left the park. Instead of giving directions from the mill (where it told me to stop and pause the app), it assumed that I had returned to the park entrance and gave directions from there. Similar issues occurred at other stops.
