How the Process Works:

2. Consultation: We will reach out to understand your learning goals and create a personalized curriculum.

Knowledge & Skills Taught:
To be determined during consultation, often include some or all of the following:

1. Gear Selection: Buying tripping gear can be daunting and costly. We assist by showcasing and discussing various equipment, such as sleeping systems, tents, water filtration, and camp stoves.
2. Packing: Learn what equipment and clothing to pack.
3. Food: Discover various backcountry food options.
4. Selecting & Setting up your Campsite: Learn how to be “Bear Wise” and stay safe during adverse weather.
5. Map Reading & Trip Planning: Understand the basics of map reading and route planning.
6. Paddling & Hiking: Acquire basic hiking techniques and/or paddling strokes and portaging tips.
