Experienced the Highlands and More! - Thank you for a wonderful tour. We had the finest, kindest, and most accommodating tour guide, Charles "Chas" Sutherland. Chas met us when we came off the cruise ship and he tailored our tour based on our desires and time available. We felt like we truly experienced the Scottish Highlands but we also felt Chas shared other intimate sights, sounds, and tastes of the Scottish culture. The Scottish Highlands were magnificent and beautiful! We learned and experienced so much more than we ever imagined or dreamed possible, if we had taken a regular excursion. This tour and Chas was EXCELLENT!

Incredible Personalized Experience - Unforgettable Views, Incredible Food, Great Company - We highly recommend E2G for this day trip from Glasgow. Next time we visit Scotland, we're definitely going to look up Martin and E2G for a multi-day tour! We covered a lot of ground on this trip, and our driver Martin was great at taking into account our specific interests to make sure we had more time in the areas that interested us most and letting us know where we could cut time in others. For example, we said we wanted to feed the Highland cattle, so we made a stop at Pollock County Park at the beginning of our day and Martin even brought carrots and vegetables for us to feed the cattle with. We also said that we loved seafood and whisky, so he recommended we skip the tour at one castle (we still stopped off for photos and the gift shop) so that we could maximize our time in Oban (where we had possibly the best seafood we've ever had - for cheap! - and a whisky tasting at the Oban distillery). Martin must also have had some sort of sixth sense that we were foodies, because he recommended the most fantastic unpresuming food truck at the Rest & Be Thankful past that had a lifechanging bacon and brie sandwich (the black pudding sandwich and coffee were good too, to boot), and he also brought along and introduced us to delicious Scottish biscuits that you likely can't get in the United States but that are readily available in Scotland. (As Martin suggested, these are great gifts to bring back home to the States.) Martin was also generous enough to bring whisky so that the group could toast to a fantastic day with the jaw-dropping backdrop of Glencoe's Three Sisters. I probably don't need to mention that the views and scenery are incredible. Luss was gorgeous, Oban was invigorating, Rest and Be Thankful and Glencoe's Three Sisters were breathtaking, and there were sheep and coos almost any direction you looked. One FYI is that cell phone service is not great in many of these areas, so if you get dropped off, be sure to meet your driver at the designated time and place to make sure you don't fall behind schedule. Martin was an extremely affable, fun, and knowledgeable driver and guide. He let us know the good deals for food/souvenirs while also warning us about which places might be overpriced or overcrowded. He also pointed out some neat features that we wouldn't have otherwise been on the lookout for; for example, in Inveraray, we made a stop at a monolith similar to Stonehenge (I won't tell you whether one of our group members accidentally got sucked back in time Outlander style :)), and in Luss, he pointed out a cemetery with Viking graves! Martin kept the conversation fun and lively. The car was clean and spacious, and Martin was a very safe driver. This was a great day tour, and our only regret is that we didn't stay in Scotland longer so that we could do a multi-day tour with E2G. Next time!

The BEST tour guide ever! - We had the best experience with E2G tours. Don't hesitate to book with them! Shak was an amazing guide. He went so far out of his way to make our tour special. We had mentioned that we were there to see a particular castle that our family has a connection to. On our way, he made an extra stop to try to talk to a local that he thought would have more information for us. It was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. Then, while my family and I were exploring the castle we wanted to visit, Shak took it upon himself to do more research for us. He found out that there was another castle ruin that had even more connection to us. He then made it work out so that we could visit this second castle! He did not have to do that, but he knew how much it meant to us and this may be our only opportunity to visit. Shak, if you are reading this, I hope you know how much your kindness meant to us. Thank you for being so good to us and our children. We will never forget our day with you!

Beautiful sites in the Highlands! - Very beautiful tour of Highland country. Had to cut the tour short because we had a shorter time in port. We were able to do this because the tour was a private tour. Also nice that it was a private tour because I move a little slower than most people and the tour could be adjusted for me. George was a great tour guide.

A feast for the eyes! - During the tour, me and my family saw some of the most beautiful sights we've ever seen, especially so close to home! I was absolutely not expecting the views in Glencoe, which are arguably comparable to locations such as the Chilean Patagonia, which we visited earlier this year, and the steppes of Kazakhstan. In fact, it became a running joke with our tour guide that 'why would you even go so far, when you can just come to Scotland instead!'. A large portion of the tour consisted of driving around the gorgeous landscape, and stopping to really take them in whenever we came across a particularly nice spot. We also visited a handful of tourist locations, such as Loch Lomond, several castles and a kirk. Somewhere in the middle of the tour, we also had a moment to relax and eat lunch (fish and chips, of course!) in Oban. In the end, I feel like we visited a solid number of places, but without it being overwhelming or tiring, as longer tours can often be. One aspect of the tour I'd also like to mention is our guide, Jimmy! He was definitely a major factor for why we enjoyed the experience so much, as throughout the whole trip he was very friendly and our car rides were filled with chatter and laughter. Despite Jimmy's killer Scottish accent, conversation flowed easily about all topics ranging from sports (my dad's favourite) to travel, to whisky (my favourite, haha!). Jimmy's presence and personality was really the icing on the cake of an already amazing tour!

Ryan was an excellent guide on our family trip to the Scottish Highlands, it was an incredible and memorable trip! - We had an amazing time exploring the highlands and beyond on our private Highlands tour with Ryan! We enjoyed every minute and Ryan’s enthusiasm and knowledge of Scottish history made the trip even more special. From our first stop to visit the coos (cows) and meet some bulls and babies (Ryan brought along carrots to feed them) which was a treat and fun way to start the day. From sites like Oban, Glencoe, the Inveraray castle, etc. there were many photo opportunities throughout the day with no time limit for our stops we spent as much or little time at each that we liked. Ryan made sure we saw as much as possible in our time together and made the day so memorable and fun. Our older teen boys said it was their favorite tour of our trip and were very engaged and excited to see it all. I would highly encourage anyone to spend the day with Ryan! Thanks again for an excellent tour and we are grateful for the amazing weather along with the special guest musician at our final stop!
