Fort Augustus is named after the fort built to suppress the Highland Jacobites following their 1715 uprising. It was later converted into a Benedictine Abbey, and the gothic-style buildings now serve as a holiday destination. Today, visitors often enjoy watching boats of various shapes and sizes navigate the series of locks on the canal.

Embark on a one-day tour from Glasgow to explore Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands.

Starting from Glasgow, the tour offers a chance to enjoy morning refreshments and capture stunning photos at Loch Lomond. The journey then proceeds through the remote Rannoch Moor, one of Europe’s last untouched wilderness areas.
