BRILLIANT. Just BRILLIANT. - Went today, had a great time. Staying in Paisley I visit Glasgow often. I knew almost nothing about the history that the tour guide imparted on this trip. Dave was funny, very informative and presented with a relaxed and confident manner. A great host. I travel by bus on a regular basis too, so I know how quick these electric ones can accelerate and have experienced many journeys with hard braking and fast cornering. Alan drove with deliberate confidence...corners were smooth, as was pulling away and stopping. My partner and I had a great time and cannot commend Dave and Alan highly enough. Thank you for tour, thank you for the driver and tour guide.

Great Glasgow Overview - Did a ride on the red route with live tour guide Donna and driver Allan. Donna was very knowledgeable, great historical info. Then did the yellow route with driver Stuart and audio guide with ear buds in English.

Good history of Glasgow, with live guide! - Welcoming and friendly representatives. 1-day tickets were £20 per adult. We managed to do the full red and yellow routes, which made it better value for money. My husband and I have done several City Sightseeing tours previously in other locations, but this was the first time we had a live guide. It was great having informative and entertaining commentary from Jim; he did a good job with engaging passengers and talking about the history of Glasgow. It gave us an overview of the city and we would recommend this tour/company to visitors.

Yellow - excellent, Red -Oh Dear! - One tour rates a poor two and a half, and the other a good five! We did the Red tour first thing in the morning, along with the world and his friends (note to self..check when a cruise liner is in port) The Red route was probably very interesting…BUT… the guided tour over a loudspeaker was worse than useless. Combine a guide’s relatively quiet voice, the loudspeaker not being turned up enough or poorly located, traffic noise and/or building works, and you have a recipe for sheer inaudibility. We had expected a tour with earphones, and thought the idea of a person relating the tour information would be great. We could not have been more wrong, or more disappointed. How anyone without English as a first language would have coped we dread to think. We probably were only able to hear about one word or sentence in 20, and before long found we had just given up trying to listen HOWEVER, we did the Yellow route in the afternoon… plug in speakers, could hear and understand everything (even with the broad Scottish accent! ) and it was both interesting and informative - we learnt a lot.

Great to see the main features of the city - We had been on the City Sightseeing Glasgow tour before, but that was about 15 years ago, so we thought we'd refresh our memories! The red route (the one that runs in the winter) covers a lot of points of interest in all parts of the city and we learned (or re-learned!) a lot of interesting facts. The commentary is recorded and you can pick up a pair of earphones on joining the tour - it is available in a wide range of languages. I have to say, however, that the first time we went on this trip years ago we had a live guide who was much better than the recorded version on buses nowadays. During the winter the buses are 30 minutes apart, so we just jumped off at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum the first day and, as we had bought the two-day ticket, the Riverside Transport Museum the second day. We had visited many of the other stops on previous visits to the city. Although we had been to these two museums before, we noticed new exhibits in both, this time.

Driver not up to date with travel times! - Arrived into Glasgow 3pm, drive told us the service finished at 6.30pm. So we purchased a ticket to do both lines. Unfortunately when we finished the red line, we found the yellow line finished at 4.15pm! Should we have been given the right information, we wouldn’t have purchased the ticket. Definitely wasn’t worth the money for one way!

Not worth it - This was definitely not worth the cost. It wasn't always clear which building the recording was talking about and there was very little information given. I would have liked more historical background. There was also too much time just listening to random, annoying music.

We booked this to see and... - We booked this to see and learn history of Dublin. Instead, we didn't get to use it because we couldn't find the bus stops. We called to talk to someone at the bus company and never got the help we needed. So, we paid for something we didn't get to use. Hopefully, they make it right!!!!!
