Travel to the Glen Nevis and begin your ascent of Ben Nevis. Follow the rocky but well-defined mountain path up to the summit. Take in the views of the surrounding landscape as you climb. Reach the summit plateau and the trig point in around 4 to 4.5 hours. Admire the remains of the observatory, which was built in 1883 and manned by 3 men at all times. See the summit trig point, which sits atop an impressive cairn, often buried completely in the winter snows. Enjoy the views from the top before beginning your descent back to Glen Nevis.
