A different perspective - My guide, Hamad, from Emo tours was pleasant and helpful. He got me there safely, making sure I knew where to go and was waiting outside to take me home. The pyramids looked great under lights.

Pyramid light show. - A good experience. Picked up ammnd dropped off from the hotel. Taken to the venue. The ticket were purchased for us. The light show was interesting. Value for money but perhaps needs a little updating. All in all a good experience worth the money.

First views of Pyramids & Sphinx- very cool. - We booked a tour to the Sphinx & Pyramids Sound and Light show with Egypt Tours Club with our travel agent. The tour included transportation from hotel via private car, and guide to get us into the show. Actual show tix are extra, but you can probably find one where they are included. Part of the fun of this was the drive to and from our hotel. We had heard that the show was quite dated, long, and sort of corny. Yes, all true. But...it was our first view of these fantastic monuments, and from that standpoint, it did not disappoint. If it is the busy season, get there early for a good seat.

Enchanting and rich in history - The Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids is a truly enchanting experience that brings the ancient wonders to life. Set against the backdrop of the majestic pyramids, the show narrates the rich history of these iconic structures, using a combination of lights, music, and storytelling. As the sun sets and the sky darkens, the pyramids are illuminated in vibrant colors, casting a spell over the audience. The narration takes you on a journey through time, revealing the mysteries of the pharaohs and the construction of these incredible monuments. It's not just a visual feast; the atmosphere is electric, filled with the awe of standing in front of such ancient marvels. This immersive experience offers a unique perspective on one of the Seven Wonders of the World, making it a must-see for anyone visiting Egypt! It was a unique experience from the other light and sound shows I've seen. This show might not be for everyone if you aren't into storytelling.

Just OK - The show is appropriate for those who have a layover in Cairo during the night. It is a 50 minute drive from the airport, about 1 hour of show, 50 minute drive back to the airport. The show itself was underwhelming, the narration can be improved to be interesting and engaging. The tour operator charges 45 USD per person, including the 15 USD entrance ticket. The car was private and clean, the driver was safe. We were met by a guide, who did not give us any history about the pyramids, but instead insisted we go to a jewelry shop 15 minutes before the show started. The guide said we cannot go inside yet, when clearly people were already going inside to see the show. We refused to go inside the jewelry shop because we wanted to see the pyramids even from afar before it got dark, but were not able to do so because we wasted time walking towards the jewelry shop. For two people, we paid 90 USD, of which 30 USD was for the tickets and 60 USD for transportation only.

Not worth going to the show. - The show is ok but definitely not worth the experience or the money, a bit tacky. Skip this and enjoy the pyramids in their natural wonderful beauty. Climb inside the pyramids do a balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings. Light and sound show not worth the time.

Tremendous stage, poor show - I think there cannot be many better settings for a light show, seeing the pyramids and the Sphinx with different colors, silhouetted against the backdrop of a dark sky is already beautiful and almost magical. But the sound system was weak (the speakers on the left sounded bad), and the light sets were quite basic for current technology (no lasers, one color per pyramid and a projection on a wall). So well, the photos are beautiful, the show I would say poor. There are 2 shows per day, we went to the second one on Fridays, which is in Spanish.

It's a no go for light and sound show. - As spectacular as the Giza pyramids are, I would give this an absolute miss. It's old, very old, and if it doesn't put you to sleep with the 1950's style narration and music then nothing will. Cars drive constantly around and their headlights detract from the event...as bad as it is. It drones on and on in dramatic dialogue and is difficult to piece together because it's just so bad.... On a positive note, the pyramids do look great under lights but there could be so, so much more done to improve this experience and make it a must see highlight.

Dated, boring and visually unexciting - The entire light and sound show was disappointing. The whole thing felt so dated and amateurish with basic lighting shinning on different parts of the Pyramids as boring and unclear voices narrated the history of the pyramids. In fact was told all the light and sound shows at various ancient sites across Egypt are the same standards. Won’t recommend.
