Spontaneously booked, top organized – great pyramid tour with super guide & camel ride, highly recommended! - An unforgettable day at the Giza pyramids – absolutely recommended! Summary below! On August 2nd we decided spontaneously at 10 am to take a tour to the pyramids. Originally we wanted to organize everything ourselves, but luckily we decided on a guided tour via GetYourGuide at short notice (only 2 hours before pick-up!) – and that was just the right decision! Despite the spontaneity, everything worked smoothly. Our driver Mohamed picked us up on time with his “Batmobile” 😄 and brought us safely through traffic towards Giza. On the way we collected our friendly guide Ramy (not Rama 😂). He greeted us warmly and introduced himself in very good German, while already giving us some exciting information about Egypt and history. Everything went completely uncomplicated on site – without waiting times or stress. At the first viewpoint we sat comfortably in the shade while Ramy told us a lot of interesting facts about the history and construction of the pyramids. The atmosphere was relaxed, the process well thought out. When photographing, special care was taken to ensure that there are no other tourists in the picture – really attentive! ES then went on the camel tour, which is not included in the price – you should know that. On site you can choose between a short round (15 €) and a long round (25 €). We actually wanted the short one, but Ramy negotiated friendly for us, so we got the long tour for the price of 20€ – very generous! The ride overlooking the pyramids was an absolute highlight and really magical. Afterwards we drove even closer to the pyramids and finally on to the impressive Sphinx. As soon as the tour was over, Mohamed was already on hand – not five minutes waiting! Finally, we visited a perfume shop where we explained how perfume extracts are made – quite interesting. Unfortunately, the seller got a bit intrusive there and tried to sell persistently. But here, too, Ramy reacted quickly and professionally: In clear words in Arabic, he immediately put the seller in check – which was very impressive and shows how well he takes care of his guests! In the end, Mohamed took us safely to our desired location – all with a smile and a good mood. 😊 Conclusion / summary: A great, informative and very well organized tour with warm people! We would like to highlight Ramy's competence, kindness and dedication to our satisfaction. Mohamed was also super reliable and likeable. Clear recommendation – thanks for this great day!
