• Giza Plateau - The tour begins at 8:00 am with a convenient pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by a tour guide, followed by a transfer to the Giza Pyramids to commence your half-day tour. The Giza pyramid complex includes the Great Pyramid (also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, built around 2580 – 2560 BC), the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre (or Chephren) located a few hundred meters to the southwest, and the more modestly sized Pyramid of Menkaure (or Mykerinos) situated a few hundred meters further southwest.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, which is currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was originally linked to a causeway, which was mostly destroyed during the village’s construction.

• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, with many found in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.

• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.

• Great Sphinx of Giza - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. In the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was expanded by subsequent rulers.
