These structures were constructed during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between 2600 and 2500 BC. Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated.

Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple’s floor by Mariette in 1860.

Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.

Great Sphinx - The Sphinx dates back to the reign of King Khafre. In the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet, which was expanded by later rulers.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Continue your tour to Sakkara, located just 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, built for King Zoser, which is considered a significant step in the evolution of pyramids, transitioning from the simple mastaba to its well-known form.

Memphis and Sakkara - Proceed to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are located. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
