• Pyramids of Dahshur - Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel to explore Dahshur, which was the southern section of the Memphis necropolis, the ancient capital of Egypt. This site is home to the pyramids of the Old and Middle Kingdoms’ kings. Sneferu, the first king of the 4th Dynasty, selected the rocky plateau of Dahshur to construct his initial pyramid, aiming to rival King Djoser’s pyramid in Saqqara, but it was left incomplete. This initial attempt resulted in a bent shape, but he successfully built a complete pyramid nearby, known as the Red Pyramid. Close by, the pyramids from the Middle Kingdom, starting with King Amenemhat II’s pyramid, remain, albeit in poor condition. The pyramid of King Senwosret III is encircled by the tombs of princesses Sit-Hathor and Ment.
