In the pink plaster house where Claude Monet resided from 1883 to 1926, you can explore:
On the ground floor: the “small blue lounge”, the grocery store, the workshop lounge, the dining room, and the kitchen (featuring blue Rouen tiles, a large stove, and copper utensils).
On the first floor: the private quarters including Monet’s bedroom and Alice’s bedroom.
In front of the house, the gardens include:
- the “Clos Normand” with its straight paths, arches of climbing plants, and vibrant flower beds.
- the “Water Garden” shaded by weeping willows, featuring the iconic Japanese bridge, wisteria, azaleas, and a pond.
