Best Gibraltar Tour Experience - Best tour experience in Gibraltar! My husband and I had visited Gibraltar before and had done one of the little van tours. This time we went with our 11 year old son and decided to try the walking tour - we saw Gibraltar in a whole new light and saw so many things that we just didn’t have access to on our previous visit. Stephan was an amazing guide - very friendly and personable but also so full of knowledge! We not only got historical information but Stephan was also able to tell us about current Gibraltar, how things have changed, and what it is like to live there. He was great about taking rests if needed and was a good judge of our physical abilities - we got to take the Mediterranean Steps route which was a difficult hike but SO WORTH THE VIEW! Our 11 year old had no problems with the physical demands. Definitely take Stephan’s recommendation to bring water. It was a cool day when we did our tour, but went through 2L of water between the 3 of us! Highly recommend this tour - it was the highlight of our entire trip! I would do it again!

A beautiful mix of nature, history and conversation - After learning in the morning that the cable cars were out of order, I spontaneously booked a private tour with Stephen and it was the best decision I could’ve made. I learned so much about Gibraltar and its history and could ask any question that came to my mind. In the 4 hours I didn’t only get to see beautiful nature but also had fantastic conversations with Stephen. The experience certainly trumped my expectations and most definitely a walk by myself.

A Day on The Rock - We joined Stephen on an expansive tour of the Rock of Gibraltar. He was an unbelievable guide who enthusiastically shared the history of Gibraltar as we climbed the "rock." The tour began at the library ramp and was a full day of hiking the more difficult route on the trail - which included the Mediterranean Steps. Honestly, if it wasn't for Stephen and the "fit Swiss family" motivating us to make it to the top it might have been more difficult. We were totally proud of our accomplishment and were able to see the cave, the tunnels, the skywalk, the monkeys, the guns and learn the history of Gibraltar. Just fascinating and with beautiful views no less. We definitely recommend Stephen and this wonderful Upper Rock Walking Tour!!

An excellent and informative walking tour - An excellent and highly recommended walking tour. Stephen is knowledgeable, informative and, above all, patient. He lets the client set the pace and does not seek to hurry anyone along. That was most welcome given that we chose to ascend via the Mediterranean steps route. My wife and I are not especially fit, but the path was accessible to us. The stepped sections were steep but there are rails and ropes to assist. Above all the views were stunning. In all, during the afternoon, we ascended the equivalent of about 120 floors. Sensible footwear and plenty of water are a must. We’ve done walking tours in many places but few if any have topped this one. I’d highly recommend Stephen and his tour.

A memorable tour - A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable tour of the Upper Rock that we highly recommend. Stephen’s approach is friendly informal and highly informative. The reserve offers fantastic views of the city and excellent historic military sites. You are certain to come across the monkeys for a great photo opportunity and St Michaels cave and its sound and light show is not to be missed. A great way to spend an afternoon in Gibraltar. Thanks again Stephen for a super tour. Mike & Elaine

Our guide was... - Our guide was knowledgeable, kind and professional. He not only taught us about the history of Gibraltar, but also went out of his way to recommend local experiences while here. It was a tough climb up the hill if you’re not used to walking or running, but he was patient and made it easy for us. This tour was worth it!

Amazing hiking tour to "The Rock" - Amazing hiking tour to "The Rock" Stephen is a punctual, polite, well spoken, well informed, smart and charming guide. No matter how fit you are (or aren't), he will accommodate to the client's specific needs in order to maximize the experience, either by hiking through exciting trails, or by walking on less demanding paths. In a casual and friendly way, he will tell you about Gibraltar, it's people, history, economics, politics, etc. and he will share many fun facts about the impressive Rock, it's importance for Gibraltar and of course he will show you the Rock's inhabitants (many funny monkeys among them). The tour will take about 3-4 hours (most operators offer a 1.5 hour tour for a more expensive price) and you will get to know the most important places of The Rock, feeling the climb as a personalized cultural and breathtaking experience. Stephen's price might be also the best and you get value for your money. I cannot imagine how this tour could be better! Rob & Family
