Great! - Great way to have a quick trip and back to the temple without all the other attractions, our guide was very helpful and was very handy to have someone to help us navigate the temple

Great experience, arrive early! - This is a great experience, very peaceful and calming
Geko was an amazing guide with a lot of knowledge, helping us gain a good understanding of tradition and how to perform the ritual
Would definitely recommend, but make sure you go early! Even 8:30am you'll be queueing for the water ceremony

Inspiring experience with a great local guide - We left in the afternoon at 2pm from our accomodation south of Ubud. Gecko, our guide for the trip, picked us up right on time. The drive to the temple took one hour due to the usual traffic, and during the trip we had lovely conversations. In the temple everything went swift. Gecko is knowledgeable while at the same time also being patient with guests like us who didn’t have much of an idea. We particularly enjoyed his good sense of humour. Can happily recommend.
We have read some comments saying the water is too cold. It is refreshing. If you’re from a country north of the Alps, no problem.

Moyo is the best! - We had the best time with Moyo as our driver and tour guide. He was so accomodating and took us to lots of different places before we went to the temple. While we were at the temple he was so informative and taught us everything we were curious to know. 10/10

Temple - Moyo is a very good taxi driver. He explained a lot about the Balinese culture and he is so friendly. We learned a lot and had a fantastic day. Thank you Moyo. Our tour was amazing!

Don’t go to Ubud without visiting the temple. Be prepared for how busy Ubud is - The temple is well worth visiting. It has lots of areas to view and my advice would be to have a guide to explain what you are looking at.

Great Temple, great guide, too long in car - I had Gecko as my driver. He was wonderful and we had many good conversations on the journey. He also never rushed me and took his time doing opening prayers and blessings with me.
The temple was beautiful however the drive was 2.5hours each way from Seminyak. Traffic was just that bad. If I were to recommend this tour I was suggest going from a location that is closer - Ubud perhaps? I will say that Gecko offered another option for a closer and more quiet purification ceremony so there are other options too.
The water at the temple is also very cold to stand in and you have to be in there for some time. So that’s another thing to consider! Especially if you’re someone who gets cold easily like me.

Tirta Empul - Nice to see an active temple. Less was that many tourists were suddenly Hindu and also went into the water to pray. Our photos only show tourists.
