A taste of Bali - Absolutely phenomenal day with a phenomenal team! A beautiful experience, from start to finish. Our guide Gus was funny, knowledgeable and kind, and always had a smile on his face. He kept us engaged the whole day with stories and knowledge about Balinese culture and tradition, and welcomed us onto his family's beautiful property. We arrived a bit early and were welcomed with complimentary coffee while we waited in the picturesque garden. Cooked up a storm and made some lovely friends. 100% couldn't recommend highly enough 😊

Lots of fun, tasty food and great experience - Had a great time, so friendly and welcoming. Shared the culture and atmosphere of Bali, explaining how Balinese people live and their beliefs. The food we made was so tasty and we got a print out of the recipes so we will look forward to trying them at home. Would highly recommend.

Unforgettable dining experiences in Jambangan – A must-see in Ubud! - I had the pleasure of attending a cooking class in Jambangan, Ubud with my wife and I can safely say that it was one of the best experiences of our stay in Bali. The day started adventurously with a visit to the local market where we could immerse ourselves in the colors, scents and sounds of Balinese culture. Our teacher and host was extremely competent and passionate – he gave us interesting insights into the different ingredients and their importance in Balinese cuisine. It was fascinating to see how much care and love is put into the selection of fresh products. After the market visit, we continued to the family-owned rice terraces, which offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Here we not only learned about rice cultivation, but also enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings – a truly magical place! The cooking class itself was both educational and entertaining. Under the guidance of our experienced chef, we made traditional dishes such as Nasi Goreng and Satay – everything was prepared fresh and with a lot of love. The chef explained each step patiently and gave us valuable tips and tricks that we can also use at home. The best thing about it was eating together, where we could enjoy our own creations. It was a great feeling to implement what we learned directly and to fully enjoy the flavours of Balinese cuisine. The family atmosphere and the warmth with which we were welcomed made the day a special experience. You immediately notice that the Jambangan team is passionate about the cause and loves to share their knowledge and culture. In summary, I can highly recommend the cooking class in Jambangan. It is a perfect mix of culture, nature and cuisine that delights every visitor. We left Jambangan not only with new cooking skills, but also with beautiful memories and a piece of Balinese culture in our hearts. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful experience!

A Wonderful Balinese Cooking Experience! - We had a fantastic morning at Jambangan Bali Cooking Class! Putu was a wonderful instructor, he was kind, funny, and full of knowledge about Balinese culture and cuisine. He made the class both fun and educational, sharing great tips on how to recreate the dishes at home with easy ingredient substitutes. The food was absolutely delicious, and the hospitality from Putu, Rakesh, and their family made us feel truly welcomed. It was a warm, memorable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bali. Spending the morning learning, laughing, and cooking in such a warm and welcoming environment was truly special. Thank you, Putu, Rakesh, and your wonderful family, for opening your home to us and making this such a fantastic experience!

Enchanting and memorable! - This Cooking Class was by far, the most enchanting time spent learning, laughing and of course, eating delicious Balinese food! The day from the start at the market, to a visit of the rice field and Family Compound was an “immersion” into the world of Balinese culture! The aromas and taste of the dishes we prepared were an explosion of the senses, that I can only highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️

Great experience in Bali - Gus and family were wonderful hosts for this class. We learned a lot about Balinese culture and the food was excellent. This tour was recommended by our local tour driver as the best in Bali and it did not disappoint. Wonderful food and cooking. Learned how to make fresh coconut milk and oil. Several recipes to try at home with substitute ingredients if we can't find them all. We have taken cooking classes elsewhere, and this was one of the best.

Great experience! Very informative and fun - We did the cooking class and it was such a good experience. Very informative, fun, and interesting. Convenient pick-up from hotel, then a short market tour. We were also given a refreshing welcome drink when we arrived, then a short house tour. The cooking class then began where we learned a lot and will definitely make at home (especially the yellow sauce!). There was a total of 2 sauces and 8 dishes, all of which were delicious. We enjoyed the meal after and had breaks in between, which was relaxing. Putu and his cousins were all very accomodating. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Best cooking class in Ubud - Gus, Putu, and cousins are so entertaining. We learned a lot about Balinese culture and cooking just few hours with them. Very friendly and accommodating, we were well taken care of during our whole class. They taught us 10 different dishes (including the Bali yellow sauce which is the base of everything). Would definitely go back for another class with different dishes.
