Perfect Cycling Experience! - We had a wonderful day in Ubud. The driver arrived on time For pickup. Breakfast and lunch were delicious, and we loved it. Our tour guide, Wayan, was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Balinese culture. The cycling route was very easy, 97% downhill. We enjoyed the rural atmosphere, the rice paddies, the village temples, and the friendly locals people. I highly recommend this tour.

Great way to spend a day on bikes - Really enjoyed the trip, bikes were good quality, we ended up having a private tour which was informative and interesting. I couldn't have thought of a better way of seeing local villages and rice fields.
The lunch was delicious and beers were a bonus.
Thanks for a great time would recommend

highly recommend! - We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Nyoman. He was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Balinese culture. We did a 25k bike ride. It was very easy the whole way downhill, but there was 3% uphill. We stopped at various points to visit several places, such as traditional Balinese houses, village temples and rice fields, on the way by bicycle and ended up at a restaurant with delicious Balinese food. I highly recommend this tour to those of you who like Balinese culture.

Loved this experience - This team was excellent at communicating with us around pick ups and drop offs that met our travel needs. Loved this experience. Mostly gentle downhill, with a few brief uphills. Rode through small villages, and were able to visit a family compound - a fascinating privilege. Our guide Agus was friendly, informative, super upbeat, and safety conscious. These bikes were in the best shape of any bike I’ve ridden that wasn’t my own. Quality mountain bikes with good brakes and smooth shifting. Agus was open to photo stops and carefully guided us through the one brief area where there was traffic. I would highly recommend this experience and this company.

Great afternoon exploring Balinese countryside - Great afternoon bicycle ride- mostly downhill and on quiet lanes. Our English speaking guide was very helpful and interesting and explained many aspects of Balinese culture to us, taking us to visit a traditional Balinese home and a village temple. The ride finished with a delicious lunch- we were starving by then- and we were driven back to our accommodation. Highly recommended!

Brilliant day out with local people, providing a unique perspective of life outside of Bali’s cities/towns - We had a great day out with Amara Bali Family Tour. We were picked up at our hotel in Ubud and taken to the starting point. Then taken on a bike ride through local villages, rice terraces and past many beautiful temples. The tour itself provides a unique insight into a different side of Bali outside of the cities and towns, I don’t believe you would get to see without doing a tour like this. The views were beautiful throughout and our guide was happy to stop whenever we wanted to take photos or needed a quick water break.
Kadek, our guide, had a fantastic grasp of English. Meaning he could answer all of our questions, explain in detail what life is like for locals and help us understand Balinese culture/family traditions.
All in all the tour was great value for money as we received pick up/drop off at our hotel, 4-5 hours cycling (with stops in between) and then lunch at the final destination (which was delicious).
If it isn’t obvious by their name, Amara Bali Family Tour, it is a family business run by local Balinese. So you’re not only supporting local people, it is also a fantastic tour to get a deeper understanding of Balinese life. Highly recommend.

Good tour - Very nice and patient Guide who tells a lot about Bali and life in the countryside. You will be picked up on time in a fine car. There is also someone riding in a pickup with spare bikes throughout the trip in case there is a flat tire or something. It also stops traffic at the busy intersections.
Food at the restaurant included and tasty.

Enjoyed seeing more of Bali by bicycle - We really enjoyed our cycling tour. The communication from the tour company was great and our tour guide was lovely.
The tour started at a coffee plantation. We got to sample local coffee and tea - which was delicious so we bought some to take home.
The bike tour is mostly downhill but there are a few stretches throughout the ride that are uphill. These are around 20-50 meters and if you can’t pedal uphill you can just walk with your bike.
The terrain varies - road, hard path, mud tracks etc. It’s not particularly difficult but you do need to be reasonably confident riding a bike.
We stopped along the way at a traditional Balinese family compound and at a rice farm. We also learnt about Nyepi Day. The tour ends with a traditional Balinese meal - which was tasty.
It was a long car ride there and back from Seminyak - left at 9am and returned around 6.30pm. This is not the fault of the tour company - just noting it would have be easier to access from Ubud.
Overall a great experience and it was nice to see some of the more traditional parts of Bali by bicycle.
